  1. Does it come with a dolly? Lol. You have to have one in the states for that beast. Our Liebherr LTM 1130 weighs in at 152,000lb. So I know that things a tank.
  2. That XT file is awesome. My grandpa had one his last new truck he bought in 01. It made for a great running dump bucket. Nobody would believe it was a 460 Mack in there.
  3. I agree with you dds. I have a friend who thinks you need to idle down the interstate. To better understand my point, I will explain it like this ( not saying it works for every engine). 99% of most engines out there will pull hills best at 1600/1650 with ease. If you run down the road idling those computer controlled trucks "mat the throttle" till it's not needed. If you set your truck up to run at 1600 rpm down the road it will pull hills with ease and not boost up and blow smoke. Hence a lot of over drives transmissions hurt mileage. If you run your common 13spd most times will get between mileage in 12th. I had to prove this to a friend. He runs loaded in 12th all the time and 13th empty. These are only the small things I've noticed driving over the yrs. 👍
  4. If you run by the boost gauge you will always have good fuel mileage. Ex. Keep the boost low. Higher the boost means your burning more fuel. BUT with stick setting you will be getting on the throttle longer to get up to the speed you want. It's a catch 22 I guess. I'm in the argument of not lugging an engine. If you keep the R's up at 1600/1650 on every shift the boost stays down and WILL. Show better mileage in the trucks I drove.
  5. That's good to know Albert. S480 has T6 flange and I can get a blanket for it for $80. S480 is only 1k
  6. So is the John Deere turbo better than a Borg Warner S480? Anybody know. Just going for brush pulling for now.
  7. Try a pressure regulator on the intake manifold in front of the boost sensor. Set it at 25 psi. This should help with low end and is a cheap way to gain low end horse power.
  8. 😳 so not to steal your post but what's the name of your truck or can I see YouTube vids of it. I follow all that truck pull stuff as much as I can. Thanks Joey
  9. I heard a pressure regulator on the intake where the manifold press sensor is helps on low end. Tricks the computer into thinking it has boost up at low rpm which will give you more fuel for taking off. I haven't found a truck to try it yet but would like to
  10. I think longer stacks muffle some noise. Especially getting it away from the cab. And if you turn the tips away from the cab it helps. R model I drive was 4" and belled out to 5" at the bottom of the stack. Most important for me is getting even smoke out both pipes at the same time. Those V8s where bad for uneven smoke with those funny Y pipes.
  11. What yr truck did it go in? Just curious
  12. Challenger is right. Micro switch under dash. Just pull up on it driving down the road and and see if the cruise or jake works
  13. I guess make sure the frame isn't broke.
  14. Is there anybody that makes a delete for an 06 aset?
  15. Hey I'll buy it too!
  16. Far as I know big cam means the main journals on the cam are bigger. I could be wrong I'm not a cummins guy. It should be a good swap though.
  17. Header wrap may help too. Smaller header pipe too. I wanna try square or rectangular tubing on my build
  18. When mine leak from me removing them that's what I'm gonna use.
  19. The furnace stuff works great. Used it on our pulling semi with a twin turbo set up. The red high temp silicone caught on fire so we used the furnace cement and it never leaked with 85 psi of boost.
  20. You are correct GB. About 1200$ on my end. Gonna make a good brush puller out of her now. New injector , bigger valve springs and pump to 500 cc at 3500 rpm should do it. 😜
  21. I'm going for the Borg Warner S480 I think
  22. Jake brake e9 had hollow rocker shafts. Non jake brakes where solid. What style you looking for Albert?
  23. That was what I had in mind! Square tubing! It would resemble the stock ones but flow a little better. Just have to figure out how to make slip joints that don't leak.
  24. How many miles are on the old girl? Have you done an oil sample? Could have a little cam wear.
  25. Thicker is better for holding the heat in for making horse power too. That's why they wrap headers.
