Still for sale, will take $4500, that's as low as it will go!
  3. All my trucks were down so I had to drive my F350 to the show just to participate, but on the way home on 66, that very nice orange B61 blew by me like I was standing still and I was doing 68mph. Got some good gears in that Mack!

B613T for sale , wrecker body. Runs great, good body and floors. Some rust on left front fender at the front and wrecker body, but is repairable. Has turbo 673 with 10sp Duplex. Needs electrical system gone over, driver's side rear spring repair, and lots of love. Runs well, lot drives well, brakes work but is probably not safe for highway until it is gone over. Best to haul! I wanted to restore this truck but have too many projects and just don't have the time to get to it! My loss your gain, I just want to get my money out of it, $5000 price is firm. Cash at pickup, clear Maryland title. I have more pictures if your interested, PM me!
  7. B613T.htm No, it's this one but the R is a good one!
  8. I drove a Mercedes w/ V-8 Diesel and 12sp trans while in Air Force in Germany. They were cabovers and drove very nice. The only US cabovers that I have driven that rode decent were Macks, both F model and Mh613. The MH613 had air ride suspension and 4 bags on the cab. It moved around a lot like the cab swaying back and forth, but rode beautifully. Probably the biggest reason cabovers have gone away in the US is length restrictions have eased somewhat, and insurance. In an accident the driver (the 1st one on the accident scene) doesn't fare to well !
  9. How do you post a link to a ebay listing in trucks for sale?
  10. With no out riggers, front, side and rear, it would be on it's side.
  11. Yes, it's based in Maryland, and the winchester Show is the "Big" show for multiple state chapters.
  12. Yup, that's Jack's and it is magnificent! I'd love it and throw a 5th wheel on it and take a trailer with a few toys on it to a show! It had been his dream for a long time and he got it finished.
  13. They run pretty nice with a 6bt in them. Got a buddy in my ATHS chapter with an A Model with 6bt, allison, vendor overdrive, Henrickson air ride, A/C. Cruises at 70 all day.
  14. I agree with carlotpilot , fastenal has a lot of stuff for bigtrucks. They also will ship large items on a pallet for you to another fastenal distributor for a reasonable price. They will also load it on to your vehicle for you! Much cheaper rates than freight.
  15. Looks like a 4bt go'in in an A Model!
  16. Yes, but I still love the LTL's the best. Also like the w9000's!
  17. I always had a passion for the LTL Fords. Best looking truck Ford ever made! They drive pretty nice too. They are getting pretty hard to find now not all ragged out!
  18. That Mack needs a little love!
  19. Hi, are you going to be at the Museum this Saturday? There is a group of ATHS Members coming for a visit.

Yes I'll be there, looking foward to seeing everyone. Hopefully a good day for all.

  20. Truck wise the Keystone Museum is it but well worth the trip! There is a fire engine museum on the northside of Baltimore. All the previous museums mentioned are also terrific. There should be enough here to keep you busy! P.S. Stay off the Beltway during rush hour or that is where you will spend most of your time!
  21. Nothing wrong with Petes and that one is sweet. I have a 359 that I love to drive!
  22. Most antique cars and pickups don't take the abuse that big trucks do just in the way they ride, bump and shake. These are things that jiggle wiring and chafe insulation that wasn't very good to start with. Big trucks probably have spent the majority of their lives outside exposed to critters that love to chew on stuff and big truck bodies aren't as tight as cars but mice don't discriminate!
  23. I once had a classic car burn up because of a electric fire. It was a 4 speed and I left in gear as the parking brake didn't hold well and it started itself up and idled away! I found it in a corn field next to the house doors still locked and nothing indicating it was messed with. I put cutoffs on a couple of my trucks that have parasitic draws (almost impossible to find except for alternators with a bad diode) and trucks with the old cloth covered wires. My B's still have the original wiring and all work but give me the heebee jeebee's to leave them sit with the batteries hooked up. I don't like to fix what isn't broke but a cutoff is good advice. I use deltran on my vehicles be it a pickup or big truck. They work well on the trucks with 4 batteries but the batteries have to be fully charged first. They only have 1.25 amps max so it would take forever to charge 4 batteries to max. Also buy a good cutoff switch( you get what you pay for). I used a cutoff like freightrain showed and it lasted a year and broke! It had a high amp rating and was only on 2 -31 series batteries but still failed! (made in China) Buy American!
  24. I had intended to paint my Marmon this summer but was OBE (overcome by events} I will work on it this winter to get it ready and then try again. Oh well !
