  1. check timing too..my friend had a truck off 6 or 8 degrees, from what i understand each degree is equivalent to 10hp
  2. I know they've come up in the past. My question is I have seen newer Mack MR garbage trucks with LED headlights that are brite are look great. Want to try and get the part # to see if they'd go into my 86 R model or 82 U model. Want to do something different on my dumps
  3. I need to find the photo but i want to say the same truck is owned by a friend of mine in Newtown,CT
  4. 1986 R model that was for sale recently
  5. My old 96 F350 that went to RI got "winterized" and is now for sale
  6. I think it was a Brandon? not sure, i'll find out. He mainly hauls wood chips and mulch with that truck so its short and tall

  14. Two photos i grabbed of them
  15. Toying around with fixing up a B61T I acquired for snowplowing work next season, was thinking of converting the air wipers to electric just due to being able to have more speeds. I went with a friend today to look at a truck in NY and the seller had a B model fire truck with top mounted wipers that used American Bosch individual electric wiper motors. Curious to get feedback from anyone whos used them or converted to electric?
  16. Nice. I figured with how mint your Macks are that they probably never even left the garage in the winter. After doing a lot of work and some painting on my 2000 F450 i don't even want to take it out of the barn in the winter
  17. Do you plow with any of your trucks/equipment?
  18. I always enjoy the variety at the show and look forward to it regardless of the date
  19. Why the change? The summer show always drew a huge turnout
  20. I'm going to be changing the gearing on my B61SX tri-axle when I change the transmission and am trying to figure out the best gear ratio. The plan is to put in the 12 speed Direct transmission going to 24.5 tires. I know a lot of people run the 12 speed OD trans with 4.64 gears. With the direct i'm thinking 4.17s, not sure if 4.42s would really hurt my highway speed Not sure where i could find the formula to figure it out or if anyone has some experience
  21. https://www.flickr.com/photos/bkrois/5307846971/in/album-72157625585095231/ My friend plowed for the town and state with Old Macks for years, not sure if the link with show the photo but he had plenty of B models. As long as the heaters were working no real issues
