  1. I have a 673P in a fire truck that I am trying to find a good home for. Running when parked, could use some new gaskets and off course the braided lines should be replaced. I dont want to scrap it if I could get it in a truck again.
  2. Mine fell out due to water leaks from the light bar, siren, horns, etc. I went to Lowes Home Improvement and got a 4x8 sheet of the food grade white vinyl used on kitchen walls. Cut it and it looks great. Easy to clean with a wet rag. I will have to get photo for you.
  3. 1973 Mack Cf685F "One and only stainless steel CF" 1250 pump, 750 tank, Ex. Blue Ash, OH. apparatus
  4. From the album: CF685F

After retirement Brutus and the other Blue Ash, OH firetrucks lost touch. After many years, I learned that the ladder truck that ran with my pumper was now serving in Millers Ferry, NC. I made a trip from Raleigh to Miller Ferry, NC to take photos of them side by side. Who would have ever thought that they would have met again in retirement so many years later. It had been over 9 years since the trucks had been side by side in Ohio.

  7. I am looking for the ceiling material for a CF model cab or I guess an F model road tractor cab. Mine got wet and dropped out. Thanks for the tips on finding the material. Tim
  8. Thanks for the heads up on your show, just wasnt sure if someone was hosting something in Allentown or Macungie for the big 100. Trying to make my muster plans for the summer. Do you have any idea how many Macks would be coming to his event? Tim
  9. Do you have any pictures of the truck and the parts left. Fixing up two old CFs and need a bunch of random things. tim 919-215-0284

  10. Any word on a major 100th Anniversary Party for Mack Fire Apparatus on the East Coast?
  11. New owner plans to tear it apart and make it a tow truck. Sad day. The only good news is that he has another Mack firetruck inside from NY, his plans were the same for it. The property renter told me he bought that one five years and has not touched it since then. Maybe both will be spared due to the owners slow pace. Unfortunately, he did not have the shop keys to get me in where the other one was stored.
  12. Wow thats coming along very nice. Cant wait till you run it on a call. That will be a sharp looking water mover.
  13. Kendra congrats on last years win! Hope this season will treat you just as well. Is Rogers selling race team shirts with the R on it? Love to buy a couple if you are.

Thanks, Tim #1 fan in ole' NC

  14. 2011 Season starts again this weekend in Mercer! Cant wait! I wish well to the Rogers Group, hope their running again this season. I hate that I moved so far away from these events, because now I can only see youtube and stats down here in ole NC. They dont know what their missing here! Turbos, spool and smoke make these events something to remember. I wander if Kendra selling shirts? I will have to PM her.
  15. New information, my dad just found the Mack R engine again. Its in Franklin, PA on 322 at the old Shaw Mack dealership under the canopy. Wonder whats up with it? I am going to see if he can swing by and found out its status. Looks great, little rust by the pump panel, but other wise OK. Rear body defintely has been replaced your right looks like a swab.
  16. Found a set of trays, thanks for all the information about possible leads.
  17. I would make a trip up for that! My old CF is waiting for a road trip!
  18. Is anyone parting out a CF? I am looking for hard suction trays for the rear side of my pumper. Its a 1973, but I am sure more that just that year would fit. Let me know location and price. East Coast would be best, so I can swing by and pick them up. Thanks, Tim H
  19. Ok, I talked to my boss Chief McGrath. He retired from Philly as a Chief, so I filled him in on the conversation here on the forum. His father worked on the engine that run out of the station( I think Eng30) and he played on L20 as a kid. I am sending him the pictures posted here. He filled me in on the property number. Tags and titles were not used. They used 6 digit numbers to identify the piece of equipment. The first two digitals tell the year the truck was built and the next 4 digitals identify the unit. He also said it was painted on the truck in atleast for places. If you go to Phillyfirenews.com the pictures in the forums it show these numbers painted on the equipment even today. He knows for sure that Harry Magee can help. He is a 5th generation Philly FF. In those pictures your right that white number has to be its property number. He also told me that they have an officer that is responsible for all apparatus, and that he was sure that many of the old folders on these trucks still exist. Cant wait to learn about what you find out, as he cant wait to learn more about your truck. He was so exicted to know that it still existed. Tim H
