  1. What does that yellow thing have of an engine? Doesn't look like any of Mack products I remember ever seen.
  2. The truck doesn't look bad on my mind. Personally I better like the style of the original CH when it was introduced. But you should make some changes from time to time. Just because the times change. And I like the mirrors. Finally I see when hood-mounted ones are integrated into the overall style. They seem very useful driving in traffic but I hate optional tripodes etc attached to a hood of a classic truck. Funny thing 2 or 3 local friends emailed me with pics of new Mack. Later I found out Russian journalists shared the news of its presentation. A funny fact on my mind to wright about a make of truck just a few people in Russia are familiar with even Mack brand existance.
  3. You should check the width between your frame rails. Different Mack frames vary on it. Some factory trunnion stands had spicer plates welded on etc. Too probably all stands were the same width adapted with spicers but I'm way off from to be sure on it. So better to do a double check.
  4. You guys only forgot to mention to check darkness for dark enough to check the lights
  5. Jumbled? Ok, one more word to add to my speech collection. You know it cost nothing to keep attention
  6. Good work Jim, I spent no less than half an hour to discover it myself The only possible reason of the nick change was Barry's big software update.
  7. His name is Ryan. And I'm pretty sure the nick was Superdog84. Just tried to make a search on the site members list and found nobody with this name or anything close to. The account removed? He's from Tennessy.
  8. L-models are my absolute favorites about firetrucks. If they were equipped with anything taller than 20 inch wheels I'd be scratching my head on importing one for a while. Having no intend to swap wheels and going off the stock design works as a good excusion.
  9. Now I remember he lifted up a question on selling his RW. It was no less than 2 or 3 years to now.
  10. Nice to see Tommy's pictures. Don't know how better to characterize GMC, as a beautiful or ugly but it takes attention no doubt. Something went wrong with the road in Gladis VA though. I sure remember seeing a sign "Winfall" at the shoulder to the right of the place the mixer truck runs. Oh, I just probably mismatch the cities. Gladis is not the same place as Winfall. Only a stupid can think it right? Neat photos of the old days, Thank you for sharing them guys.
  11. This story sounds damn sad. Unfortunately it becomes a common idea or life style to not needing any education on things, just paying them over and being Ok. No doubt such approach heads to losses. But nobody would think a loss might be a kid's life. Hope you FL guys are getting Ok.
  12. Seems to me just like a hood having not 1 inch of its length. An old short version. The distance between the fender back surface and the hood side edge to the cab front should be checked. An old cab has fenders cut straight along the rear edge. A 1 inch plus hood has a kind of vertical strip area to the back of the fender ending up to the cab front line.
  13. As Larry said. And I don't remember seeing any posts made by the owner for a while. Sure don't know if the owner is still the same. Jum, where had you catched her? Or him??
  14. Looks as impressive as hell! And observing how blue pain is glancing along the tank side I see the amount of work spent for filling/sanding to get the surface fair straight. Now the fresh paint paying back your efforts. Mentioning the wheel issue your experience helped me recently to figure out the case of the same kind in a few seconds
  15. As they said. An eye catcher!
  16. Cool looking MH. Congrats on the award!
  17. From what I read I reasoned I should go off Carbon. Ain't gone yet.
  18. I like it too. Just can't liking or smallbulldoging.
  19. As said above. I was off the site for some while and found out I "can't get comfortable in the chear". Used to use Carbon and do it now. Can't see the "like" button or the bulldog. Sure it's clean on need of providing site security updates. Just maybe is it the time to request the software guys on the content and effects of their new products? Seems like it concerns alot of folks, not a single user. Have no idea on how it's possible though.
  20. Once a conteiner shipped from NJ got its way through the Panama pass to Pacific aiming to Vladivostok. Then was customed and continued travelling by railroad through whole Russia to Moscow. I had a R-model grill in that load. During the while I made a trip to the States, bought another similar grill and made it home. So now I have them two. Just hope the locker will arrive sooner than the Toyota gets it's next airbag swap.
  21. Wow! You never know what is behind a next road curve indeed. Hope both the seller and the buyer are satisfied guys. And from what I read it looks like they are
  22. Those I fired up were made in 1985. Were quite full on the charge in the age of 30. The door sill stickers prescribed to renew them after 5 years.
  23. No, it's still floating somewhere in Atlantic
  24. Knock on the wood
  25. Looks like the job goes fast. The best feeling is when you're coming in to the building you just found out is ready to put your rigs into. Observing the structure up and down and growing up plans in your had of what to put where. Wish you'll be at that point soon. Good luck on the project!
