  1. I have no idea why do you guys drool so much on them. That's sure a cool idea to fit some Canadian stuff on a truck if a truck is Canadian related or built (as my one). But those exactly seem to me not much as just a SS cut out with stock half dog attached to. So you need to get yourself to any laser or plasma cutting shop with a droving (the best) or just the picture from e-bay. I'd note cutting out such the maple leaf isn't reproducing a copyrighted stuff since it's just a leaf until with no dog.
  2. SuperB pics Tim Keep 'em coming. And when I started to read Paul's post I though for the first that "Max will not only be able to get him self into trouble he will also be able to get his father with". It just came on my mind seeing the TWO Nissans nearby to each other. Hope you both will be allright Have a nice time!
  3. During all my lifetime this date was one of the greatest holidays overhere. Nowadays I would say, the greatest one, since the Revolution annyversary day went off with the end of the USSR. There was a big military parade in the city with fireworks in the evening. I watched the parade on TV though, too difficult to get yourself there because of lots of officials. For that reason I had to switch my TV set on for the first time since about couple of years.
  4. 70 years back, late in the evening on 8 May 1945 Nazy Germany signed up of the surrender document wich marked the capitulation. It cost millions of lives of people of different nations wich we should never forget. The Soviet government announced the victory early on 9 May because the official capitulation was after midnight by Moscow time. So here in Russia we have 9th as the selebration date.
  5. I'm on the second option either. The truck looks great on the photos you posted
  6. Some decades back we had 11.00x20 truck tires produced in Russia. USSR more correctly to say. They were marked metric and it was 280x508. If you count out inches multiplied into 25.4 you'll get that figure. I think there were also 10.00x20 and 12.00x20 with metric marks of 254x508 and 304x508. Not sure it will help you much although as far as I know there are no modern tires of metric sizes wich reproduces inch types. 11.00x24, 11.00R24.5 etc is for taller, "full profile" tires and 285/75R24.5 or 385/65R22.5 is applied to low profile stuff. 7. Good luck on the painting and other works. Vlad
  8. A lot of newer stuff on it although its look is impressive. I always liked the color scheme. And sure the great amount of job is involved.
  9. That's pretty interesting post about South and Central American trucks. I haven't heard about those marks. The language is Czechian since that's Czechian model building site. There's written "Traksomex" produced those trucks in 80's years assembling them of Mack parts of different models. Cummins engines were used". But if you look at the pic the hood length is normal. Interesting is that RW hood is adapted to the classic R-model cab.
  10. Paul, that's cool you shared that. Don't know how it would be for the rest of you native folks but to me it was a real tongue twister. I agree on the paint work.
  11. I didn't track them all. Thought maybe some one was in a real need.
  12. Seems like a nice gethering. Than you for posting those candies.
  13. Good spy work! That COE is WW2 Autocar or International with Timken axles but seeing the pic I'd say someone put L-model cab on it. Good choice of B's, hope somebody will keep any as a treasury.
  14. That FedEx sleeper cab is neat although I wonder much more when and why those guys got that poor interaxle diff off the red truck and broke it down by the floor???!!! Did you ask them on that? It doesn't seem right, they scratched off the teeth either by some reason. Nice pick-ups, I like them both. And was anything wrong with the log truck? I didn't mention anything out of line.
  15. Thank you for sharing, interesting bunch of pics. I have no matter to discuss over the bumper sticker but that script on the trailer gate corellates with the add in the Truckpaper posted recently on here. Wonder what the reason some American trucking companies are looking for Russian-speaking drivers...
  16. Your question is not too easy. You mentioned many different transmissions and many of them were from different series of the different ages. Sure not all of them were 10 speeds. I can tell you forget about TRD-72 series. They are old single countershaft trannies, used mostly on B models etc. in sixties. T200 series is Mack newest serie and T2100 is 10 speed indeed. 1070 series conteins 10 spd either but I'm not familiar with it. Dig out the Wiki section of the forum well and look over the threads posted along the theme. Look over ebay, there are usually many offers on service manuals and trannies itself. You may try to identify what you have in your truck just relating your stuff to pictures posted there. Vlad
  17. Looks like the cost grew up pretty fast.
  18. Thank you for sharing. Nice to see trucks from your location.
  19. Pretty interesting setup. Was it a factory built vehicle? And is it alive now? I can't say it looks bad with that short nose.
  20. What the beautiful scenaries Tim! Seems you knew what place to choose for trucking. What was the air temp when you did the shots? Paul, is there really NO snow?? Maybe you need to import some?
  21. These DM's are tough trucks. Wonder how a walking beam rear suspension works on a rough road.
  22. These beasts above aren't far from Mack W71 about look. Excepting the offset. And I would say the red one look nice.
  23. Let's hope it will need some easy fixing wich doesn't require a while. Mmmm... I mean it's faster to swap an axle than re-rail the chassis. Sorry to hear.
  24. That's funny to learn about the bloke by he name of Mack. It explaines alot. But the monkey... It might make some sence either.
