  1. Lots and lots of Macks! Great company indeed. Too sorry about their shape. Perfect demonstration of reliability.
  2. Going the same way. If the memory serves me good, Vinster must know.
  3. What the damn nice looking stuff you publish guys! Awesome King Kong! B75 was also.
  4. Most well-known Lend-Lease American truck in Russia was Studebaker. Along with Willises and Harley-D's. As I told many times, the thema of Lend-Lease was unpopularized in Soviet Union during the Cold war time. If you add here that no privat person could have a truck as a property until 1991 (Socializm was a prohibitation of privat property for any production facilities) you can wonder how many Lend-Lease trucks survived here. Probably some hundreds all'round the country. Or maybe less. Little addition: During 90's years and earlier I haven't see any photo of Lend-Lease Macks in Russian books. One pencil-draw picture only. They became later, many of, but when the internet start to be of service.
  5. Everything above is true for shue. So you hefinitely have E6-350 4v under the hood. As under mine hood also
  6. You have truelly got VIP status. Some days off and the forum starts panic
  7. Glad to know you like it. It was a happy chance to meet my friend there. I visited that city once before and with a car but didn't note and see so many interesting. He was a real "aborigen" groving there (he's in Moscow for last 20 years I know him). When he met me in airport he told "I rented an appt. for you in some special old house you'd like to see". And he sorried too much that those old buildings going off with constructing new ones of concrete and glass in the same places with no general style and great tasteless. Some of old houses are just burned off from time to time probably specially for acceleration of wasting, you can see it on pics. So that was a beautiful chance for me to see it now when it all still exists and for my friend to tell many stories about what he really love. Starting to make pictures I thought it would be good to put them all here for a show. Because you are all guys shure like everything ancient and uncommon. I also was surprized too much seeing camels on a snow surround so we made a turn over to get them photo fixed. Here's a shot of the Kremlin from my previous summer trip.
  8. Bad guy Olivetroat is not with us now. He wondered too much about personal tour guidence. Hope you folks enjoy seeing the stuff.
  9. Sorry to learn you need to sell your B. Always like how it looks. Not ready to make a deal as usual. And you know it couldn't be easy driven to my home.
  10. The double frame looks with no much rust. Low milage is good for a work, as a hobby truck I would prefere more miles with less $$. Does RW713 mean E6-300?
  11. Milk tank looks like a great size diamond. I like RD's with a modern hood. The sleeper seems to me good enough. I'm looking at it now and thinking to myself how easy looks a ready stuff and how much labor that nobody can see it conteins.
  12. The book tells me the cab was installed by "Terlouw en Van Yperen" firm in Holland.
  13. The really sad picture - disaster that took part some years ago - the building destroyed by a gas blast. Don't know how many were gone that time...
  14. Next you can see different street shots of half ruined old buildings, some of them are still habitate. Restored house related to a governor before the Revolution. Last pics - the camels walking aside the road.
  15. Continue with the bridge over Volga river, steam boat of nearly 1910 (tracktor boat, wheeled), water tower of 1911, another bridge (there are only 2 over Volga there) of nearly the WW2 time, made with rivets, and the ex-army amphibian tracked transporter.
  16. Had 2 day trip about some business to the city of Astrakhan. It's a southest city of "Russian" Russia (next to the south is Dagestan and Chechnia). This is also the region where the river of Volga comes into Kaspian sea. Haven't seen the sea, it's 100 km further from the city. The age of it is nearly 600 years, the Kremlin dated of 16th sentury. Most old buildings are from 19th but haven't keep well during Soviet Union times. So look like after some great disaster. Although it was interesting for me to see them as they were 100+ years ago. Like a life was stopped for a while around this place. During old times the city was a key trade point from Kaspian and Persian countries into Russia so there are many traces of musslman culture there. Many people from Kaukaz and neighbore Kazahstan live there now also. A friend of mine who was born this city and lived his yourth, met me and provided excursion. He liked everything ancient and old iron especially. The first bunch of pics - the house I rented the appartments for tonight. Night time - the view from the street (parade) side, daylight - from the yard. Note wooden floors of the balcony and stears. The flat I lived (was good inside) had the door just from the balcony. Next you can see the Kremlin of 16th century and the monument of 1917 Revolution local fighters.
  17. Beware too much sauce if you're going to swim!
  18. Haven't ever seen most of them. Thanks.
  19. Looks a bit ugly but very proud. Real bulldog. Could be repainted and polished but good enough "as is". Wonder about capacity..
  20. I never liked when some things in a car started to be more clever than me. But a toilet...
  21. Good news guys, glad for all you souce-getting company. Have to consume local production tomato product
  22. Congratulations! Best wishes for lucky business and everything else!
  23. Happy Birthday!
  24. This one is probably from Belgian or Dutch army or civilian use. Has local produced cab that was typical for Holland. Wermacht used also lots of captured Russian trucks. Along with tanks and steam locomotives. Many ex-French and British vehicles found their end in forests and clay roads of East front. You can see "WH" on the left fender as Germans marked vehicles of service in Wermacht.
  25. The first picture might be NO indeed. Wheels, wheel base, front bumper are going that way. I have another pic of that stuff in my computer.
