Super clean R!
Vladislav replied to Bigdogtrucker's topic in Antique and Classic Mack Trucks General Discussion
I also noted that tank trailor. -
Yes, my resto project got a mile stone. This part of work took more than a half year. I did two frames apart, clean them up, sand blasted and pressed in all new rivets. So, step-by-step. I was afraid to start this work because of need to assemble all pieces back. I needed to re-rivet the frame with no experience of how to do it. Discussing with most friends gave me a fact that nobody have it done before. I googled "rivet works" (in Russian) and found out that I need U-press and rivets of soft steel to heat them up to red light. Started to look for the U-press, found a firm, ordered, waited for 2 monthes and recieved. Test rivets got me the mind I need fluid supply power station instead of the hand pump the firm sold me with the press. I asked and they gave it to me for a lease. Had to take it 6 times for a week during the work. There were 2 frames I wanted to make one good from. As I told I was afraid to part everything out without shure I can get it back. So I started on the first one in early June, after recieving the U-press. I took out a "butterfly" (bogie) crossmember, blasted it sand, painted at friend's shop and started to press rivets in. Forgot to add, I bought 12 meters of 40 mm OD soft steel wire and ordered nearly 150 rivets of different lenghtes to fabricate of it. Original plan was to clean up metal parts, paint and rivet them. Due to a heat influence I waited a paint burned off around rivet's heads so planned to re-blast assemblies and repaint. To my surprize and great pleasure paint got Ok after riveting, it made my way easier, without overpainting. Rivet's heads only. My first steps:

Old European Macks
Vladislav replied to BC Mack's topic in Antique and Classic Mack Trucks General Discussion
Pedals have their common position. I had some experiences of left hand driving including manual box and can say I forgot about anything was wrong right after 10 minutes drive. With a single stick though. Here are other samples of European modifications and rebuilds. How old Dutch production sheet told there were B models with different cabs from 7 manufacturers avalible. That one snow plow NM model with London plates is of the same bunch as one I have now. -
Yes folks, I'm here. Had to attach speakers to my computer for, was going to do it a long while. The story was shot: the driver worked with a blasted tyre when that bastard came and ask money. Robbing. The driver spoke CB for a help and you're all saw the following. These trrrible things carrieing on sometimes still, was regular 15-20 years ago. It's a problem to find police around a road, but they appear immediately when you don't need them most. Nowadays life on a road is relatively pacific although most truckers prefere to stay overnight at closed parking lots. Sidenote: you have seen average Russian road with average traffic on it. At least of a central (European) region.

rusty panel

I'm ready to offer some from Mercedes G. This tread looks popular so I also try a chance - does anybody have them for Mack NR? -
How they are lighter with E6-350 and air ride? I'm in doubt the difference is too great.

I haven't seen those ghost-looking B T-shirts. Just wonder to get R-model Hot Rod "Flames" as it called on Watt's list. Hope there will be a good day for a new bunch of ghost ones.
-
Watt's T-shots are also on my plans list. Just haven't did it yet. Although import of clothes and accessories can not be provided by local parts guys.

A few oldies
Vladislav replied to vision386's topic in Antique and Classic Mack Trucks General Discussion
Neat stuff, I'm shure most real truckers enjoy pedigreed old iron! Mackdaddy, is that nice restored olive KW from your collection? I like front fenders' form - reminds me Mack L's style. -

Great! I wish you lots of job-free time for all that. Did you post anything about getting your nice Red Dog? I probably missed a story. -
I like the strips and the colours of R model tunker. Black'n white and nothing anymore! The mixer is always likely to see and the enviroment also. Looks like some empty space around to put 1-2 Macks more

Looks solid for restoration object. Who knows though could it go for a work.

Keep well! All that is life, it turns from side to side, make curves and you never know what will be tomorrow. But it's your life and everything that going is also your. Have that all and be thankful. There are positive bits in each moment of time, maybe sometimes too painful to think this way. You're still alive, try to make good everything you can do by yourself. Don't sorry hard and take "as is" all that you are not the master for. Be shure, there are many people on here who are ready to support you. And not virtually only.

Neat old pics! It's especially interesting for me to see your country's old days. And they looks to me very well and lovely. Thanks a lot

Well, I see, goats. They are not sheeps. Look like cats from the distance though.

1939 to 1942 Mack Cab over NJU series information
Vladislav replied to RONPOND's topic in Introduction Forum
Welcome! How you described it I haven't any ideas about NJU. Double screws without front drive, double boom wrecker, straight six gas, and Canadian army - all that pointed on LMSW heavy wrecker. Of course they were not cabovers. Vlad -
I worrie the same way Tom. Maybe it's prohibited because a custom man might damage his mouth testing the food product like that sause. I still keep the hope to test it personally one day. Don't know how soon but time goes quicker than we used to note it.

Who's goats? Are they rabbits or sheeps? I haven't seen well and don't want to google the word yet.

Beautiful view. I'm shure everybody on here noted you enjoyed the truck too much. Glad to see how you spent New Years days, keep riding! Any plans to make her up or upgrade in the summer?
