  7. I also surprized when heared, but it's in a bad shape yet. So I will need to rework it in the future. My truck has a sleeper originally. Hope there are factory screw holes.
  8. The guy I bought my R from fabricated new boot of a piece of fire fighting hose
  9. Weekends are good time. Make some street pictures, I have never been to NYC
  10. Thank you, I'll keep that all in mind. I have no plans for my R during this winter. Not pleasure to work laying in snow, unable to drive out due to lot of ice on my street's pavement. I live a little not run-through street in a village near the city. Neibourghs open windows and look with wide opened eyes each time I drive Mack to/out of my home.
  11. Hi Paul, Sevastopol seige was so long because of constant Russian attacks from the outside front. Germans couldn't storm the city due to needs of other battles. Only after they took victory on the whole Crym they could seriousely fight Sevastopol. As book told me, Germans started artillary preparation on June 2nd 1942. It continueus 5 days, Odin and Thore made 18 shots, Dora made 7 shots on June 7th with no one into the aim. On the 6th day Germans started to attack with a cover of artillary, Odin and Thore made 54 shots. Main Russian artillary power in Sevastopol consisted of 2 batteries of ship turrels, each had 4 turrels with 2 guns of 305 mm. They were well fortificated. Germans got the city finally on July 4th only.So the figure you interested is 250-33=217 days. Don't know Paul of what that model was made, it is placed in General Marshall Museum in the Netherlands. 12. I have one more subsequental portion of parts recieved today. There are chrome plated hood latches , Torrington needle bearing for NR steering box (only one of 2 required) and... They came! R model head light surrounds! Now I can make up my R's original arrangement. All the parts are from PAI. Thanks a lot to Rob, he sent me PAI #'s some monthes ago. When I got the parts in my hands I thought "why these aluminium plates were so thin? They didn't look enough as truck parts." After get home I started to open the plastic pack and surprized they were too heavy to be of aluminium. And to my more surprize and a great pleasure I saw they're stainless
  13. I have two Canadian R's. Both with Mack Maxitorque. And I'm happy about this fact.
  14. He was too active on here, now he gets looooong relax. As about us -
  15. There were 4 big size artillery units at Sevastopol from German side - Gamma 420mm, Odin and Thor of 600mm and Dora of 800mm. All had rail chassis. The lightest Gamma had a crue of 235 people, Dora - more than 4000. Nearly 40% of bombs fallen unblasted. There are lots of other artillery systems Germans used that battle includind 88mm anti-aircraft guns. Total duration of Sevastopol storm was 250 days. Here is a scale model of Dora I saw in war museum in Holland. Other pictures show Russian rail based gun TM-3-12 of 1938. It places in Rail Road museum of Saint Peterburgh (in Russia). I visited it about 10 years ago, the pics are from the net.
  16. Next time you must to make a piss stop and make a good picture of that blue U-model. And look at the frame when realizing the stop. For the number.
  17. I like how looks this truck too much. The milege is about half a million, not terrible. Interesting to know would it be sold for that money?
  18. Do you suppose he need so much to finish the U?Or you hope he will need that time enough to finish his all future projects? Vinny, live your own life, take to account everything you hear around, make your own mind about and don't make fast movements. Keep patience and take things easy. Especially about girls.
  19. Awesome trucks Superdog! Thank you. Those early B's are very clean restored. Though the late's are also.
  20. Looks monumental ! I suppose I have 4' pipe on my R with E6? Planning to keep a stock look I need a long pipe that goes under the cab and sleeper continuing two elbows of 90 and some special angle. 84Superdog, do you recommend to ask Chrome Country for GR or ask GR directly? I found a dealer that said "ready to import GR" but need to use another one to contact CC with a inside US shipping. I haven't finished (haven't started) about Chrome although dealing with Phil Young at the moment. So thank you for the help.
