  1. lot of people in Russia set dash cameras up. Not for the reason to make movies but to fix an arrangement of an excident in a case it happens. As for my parents so they like to make movies from the road on holidays. I presented a set to my father on his birthday last year. There is a lot of scooter drivers owerehere, they don't need any licence up to 50 cm3 although must drive 1m aside the road. In real they drive anywhere, many children of age 10- , without helms. Drunk are also. That one is too happy hasn't met the truck in front. Vlad
  2. Hi Pavel! I'm driving Poland each time when I go to Germany and Holland. At least two times a year for 3 last. But with a car or motorbike. Just traveling. I want too much to make the same way with Mack but I'm not shure of what will happens faster - my Mack trip or your model ready Last time I visited Salt mine in Welicka and went down to Slowakia. I was with my son of 12 years. I'm thinking to not moving a trailer. That's why I can make fifth wheel clean. To determine it's off-trailer all the time. Have a good time, vlad.
  3. Tom, It's very nice from you to note me apsent. Look here for the first fish, and I'll continue http://www.bigmacktr...og-in-danemark/
  4. Buzzybee is too interesting if you can read Dutch. Or German at least. With German you can understand in general. That's what I'm doing there from time to time. That F is from Dutch transportation company, they used them in 70's. Interesting that colours follow original scheme - it was blue with black fenders. There is another one from the same service. And I also have never seen U models in Holland. But DM's. Vlad
  5. Not shure they need more. One of the three sheds is full of unrestored cars. AC is probably WW1. Don't really know, had no chance to discuss the owner. Looking the net I've found not many AC's in Europe. That's why I visited the museum. And don't forget - I have never seen AC's in real before. Vlad.
  6. My God !! I've never seen a steam-powered camper! Although I saw a camper made of locomotive Awesome Heavy Metal collection. Welcome to the jungle! Vlad.
  7. Looks impressive! Especially the naked frame. I'm for NAVY blue. Black is usual and usually unrestored. Red is nice and bright but too common. I have the same matter of question for an engine. My truck is in khaki, original engine color is black. I'm thinking now about as your one. Vlad
  8. Well Pavel, I'm usually critical to models but starting to enjoy your work. Too much grease of course although I like this fifth wheel. The springs are a bit bigger than they must be but it looks good at all. To grease or not to grease ??? I'm thinking to make absolutely clean fifth wheel on my real truck. As for a model, I prefer little dirty. I thought to use epoxy with a black paint but haven't realized. Here is a couple of images. I was in Poland 2 weeks ago but went to the south. Vlad
  9. Vinny, your father must be happy. My son with the age of 12 isn't in interest to trucks, just a bit. He spend most his free time to computer games. I'm shure 21st century is the time of electronics and information though mechanics are always in a hard need. So you are keeping right! Just don't forget about school. There is a lot of useful there, we understand it usually more later. But it's like an investement. A profit is in the future. Vlad
  10. Hi Guys, I wasn't at home two weeks due to the holiday. Crossing the roads of Europe with the car. Although the time I waisted enjoing is not waisted. Because I found something interesting. There is a museum in a central part of Danemark. That is a privat collection of circa 160 vehicles. Most of them worked or used in Danemark. Some of them are nicely restored. There is a lot of old American cars also. The reason to me to visit that little village was the Mack truck Vlad
  11. You a lucky guys I must say. I also was in need for 11.00-24's but had no chances to import them from the U.S. due to my country's taxes. So had to buy 12.00R24's They set well on my rims and look to be not too bigger around though a bit wider. But I'm happy excepting the price. Vlad
  12. Yea, there is a drop of interest to keep the corporate originality. Because it's a part of truck's history. Although in a case the corporate colours looks good. This is a question of the day for me now. So here's my part of F's displays. Vlad
  13. Can't keep the company because will be in Poland tomorrow Pierogi and kalbasa are good owerthere also. Vlad
  14. The cab looks nice ! Do you plan to refresh wheel hubs? Vlad
  15. Mark, I'm partly with you. I like to look the movie, I saw Mack trucks there for the first time and it influenced for all my life. Although I was 10 years kid when I saw the movie. Yeah, there are many funny scenes of crashes and so on. A lot of humor as like Dirty Lyel shoots to the bar seat. Although when I came elder and get the mind of a matter of the story it looks nonsence to me. It maybe keeps some thin reason of relation between drivers and cops that was in the book and lost in the movie, don't know. I must say also I don't like cinema at all. Not all the cinema but book reconstructions. Book is always greater of a content then a film. So don't get the movie too serious to yourself and just enjoy an action ! Dan, Thank you for info, I saw your web side many times with a lot of interest, too glad about your hobby and enjoy your truck and your care about it too much. Vlad
  16. Really nice looking job! I can only dreaming about a day I'll can see something the same about my R -model. Have experience to drive right-steering Nissan pick-up with manual tranny. 'Nice" addition was the shifter mounted on a steering column. To my great surprize I hadn't any troubles on it. Vlad
  17. This weekend I had a trip with Mack, near 100 km and the same distance back next day. For a BBQ party to my sister. Must to add this was my first truck drive longer than around the haus area Some pictures. Big highway of direction West - main road to Europe. And a little local road.
  18. Not shure about Fracmaster but they're definitely of St.Germain. What did you miss in Russia? Vlad
  19. Paul, thank you very much
  20. Joe, Here are no Mack dealers. The nearest two are in Holland and Azerbaijan (not far from Iran??). Some American truck parts suppliers exists, they ready to import but hasn't Mack part lists. I bought two mirrors having numbers from Mack online accessoru catalog. These two trucks lived so long due to another two "brothers" that were taken apart. The last one I bought has very good die-hard owner. He rebuit the engine at least twice and did many others on it. He really loved it. He drove all the four during the years. I heared so many stories about so it looked to me like whole a life. As I wrote I discussed with him during a year. So finding parts and other works on Macks is a serious adventure. I like it !
  21. Great collection! I'm not a big tractor fan but Macks are fantastic! And the other trucks... And tractors. All vehicles are so clean made, they are really superb! Thank you for the report Vlad
  22. Nice B! I suppose the nature owerthere is still virgin and wild.
  23. I need some special optic to see Alaska. It's in 8000 km away My Dutch friends invites me to keep his company next summer to follow Alaska Highway. Not shure though it will real for me.
  24. This country side is typical for some thouthands km in the Eastern part of Russia and the same area from the Noth to the South. There is a tundra in 1500 km Noth from my habitation and rocks of Kaukas on the South in nearly the same 1500. I have never been in the eastern part, there is probably more forests and less roads. Anyway the country is great in the size. I'm traveling mostly in West Europe last years. Good roads, nice view sides, friendly people and less expensive life! I'm thinking about big trip in the direction East, at least upto the lake of Baikal, the biggest one on the planet, nearly 1000 km in length. And maybe will do it with Mack. Why do I have the truck with a sleeper?
  25. I was enjoed guys to see so many classic American cars, I like them most. Although I prefer to spend a time to American Mack trucks, they are out of concurence to me. On the other hand I like Mercedes cars and have some of.
