  1. It's amazing what a 2 valve Mack can put out. Drove a 79 R model that was insane, Needed to put tape over the pyrometer gauge.
  2. Years ago you could get a detroit, Cat or cummins. Friend of my has a Cruiseliner with a KTA cummins.
  3. Nice to hear a story like. I bet the old boys have quite a few stories to tell from over the years. I had a Case D with a wide front but never restored it and someone else had fun with it. Very nice old tractors. Here is my son a few years back in the local parade with a friends Oliver.
  4. Very nice, Like the 3020 tricycle. The 44 series tractors are my favorite and would like a 4440 some day. Don't need anything that big but love big power. Here is my "99" 410E which I never get to run since my son won't let me on it.
  5. Wow! Very nice. The envy of many, have fun!
  6. We would go bare foot on the family farm and out to pature in the fall feet in the warm manure keeps them warm.
  7. The green B 81 looks tidy. Be a great second dump for someone.
  8. Small cab for some. I've had one and loved it but wouldn't want to drive it everyday. R cabs aren't very big either but more room. First CH I drove, I liked how much room it had but still liked the R series better.
  9. That would an awesome combo but not sure if they would mate together and a B model isn't the most comfortable for a daily driver. Great show truck though!
  10. Good deal, things happen for a reason and when you least expect it. Your Case was on the show room lawn and you caught a customers eye!
  11. Long hood R models are in a class of their own.
  12. Remember when the biggest engine out there was a 425 cat? Even the 12 litre Mack 350 did more for it's size. Pulled a 50 ton low bed for years with a 350 and 12 speed and got the job done with no problem. Then the industry pushed for bigger litre engines. For over the road I wouldn't hesitate to redo a R model from the "80"s and save yourselve some money in the long run like on all the electronic B.S. that is out there. The only thing is, would these old style engines pass our different emissions from state to state?
  13. Ha, Lot of work done on something to be prowd of, good for you and I be you made someones day when you sold it. I did that with a B 42 dump truck. The only time I ever listened to my wife about selling something and wish I didn't! Case tractors were a proud part of American Agriculture and pride in workmanship.
  14. My Father has been offered some good money for his RI but he dosen't get rid of anything. If you went to his house you would know what I mean. J I Case Eagle with the globe is really cool.
  15. From the album: My Trucks...

Pike NH Division 2010 CH with MP8 and 18 speed.
  16. My brother Mark pulled a VAC years back and it did well with VP fuel. Sounded great, nice little tractors. More Case tractors out west than in New England I think. My Dad has a RI case. Small tractor with big rear brakes. 3 speed with a 4th road gear that is not on the shift pattern. Put her in 4th and hang on! Love the old case cast grills too! Rob, what year did case start with live PTO? Tim
  17. Classic Mopar GM Ford, we all love the look and sound of Americana.
  18. Case was a very good tractor and I like the 530 too. Good old American tractor. I had a VAH which I still wish I had but can't keep them all. Trey, 730 JD great tractor too I had a direct start diesel but man wear your ear plugs! Tim
  19. Wow! What a tractor your Uncle has. They do hold their value and then some. I had a 4020 hi crop, I loved that tractor but lost it in a barn fire in 1996 I was pretty bummed for a long time. I'll see if I can find a photo of it. JD tractors are awesome and even little things like the steering on our 2550 4x4, you turn the wheels and they angle themsevles on the axle for tighter turning radius. Engineering marvels of John Deere!
  20. E 9 is an awesome engine. What I have found over the years running them is they are a one man engine, don't run them hot, so watch your pyrometer and your temp. It is easy to get in the red. I found in the extreme hills of Vt. running thermostats lower than 180 degrees works for me and they are very expensive to rebuild. Fuel mileage with 4.64 rears loaed is 3 and empty 5 to 6 for me. The first V 8 I drove was a 440 in a superliner with the twelve speed back in 1983 and have been hooked since. Love that sound and power.
  21. The yellow are is from the bale wagon. 5 bales at a time pick on the move. Here is a 1948 B that was my Grandfathers, bought new and now my brother looks after it.
