  1. Looks like you had a good time!
  2. Perfect for a saturday morning, Thanks Trent.
  3. Thanks for sharing your story and welcome!
  4. Gotta love the state of Conn.
  5. Jim it makes a horrendous noise and the teeth don't enjoy it any. Sometimes it is called for and using ones head saves equipment.
  6. Back in the mid 1980's the bridge contractor I worked for did an emergency bridge job in Weatherfield on the old Rt.3 bridge and hired Costello for the milling on 91. It was quite an adventure back then!
  7. Took a total of 10 inches and concrete under that with wire sticking out. There were a lot of angry 4 wheelers. We had to jump all the structures in the road so there were many speed bumps 10 inches high.
  8. I have seen the boys' making cold patch and it is a nasty job to say the least. The stuff is wicked expensive too but it does save a lot of vehicles from pot hole hell. Hopefully your state will have road money too! We also do "round robin" with our trialxes and flowboys. As long as plenty of peanut oil is applied in the bodies it works great and there is a huge saving in trucking. A hot body out of the paver means milling will stick at the cold planer and then you'll have 5 plus trucks at the plant trying to scrape the milling out and then we are waiting for trucks. Here is one from last year in a small town that did warn it in the paper but the folks on the road didn't pay attention till they had 6" to drive over. Was interesting...
  9. I bet most states ran out of cold patch over the winter.
  10. Nice to see all the Macks at work and green grass too!
  11. Glad to hear a lot of areas are going. We are always the last do to our extreme weather. Reel, sounds like you'll be putting in some great hours! That always helps with the bank account. Brought back a couple of our Granites from the dealer the other day for our dirt division starting on Monday
  12. Jim yes finally spring is here! The roads are a rollercoaster and the frost is coming out. Scheduled for the end of the month grind in St. Johnsbury.
