  1. Wow you would think any town truck from Up State would be rust when they got rid of them. Getting harder to find the "Flintstones" style trucks. I'm going back tomorrow for a test drive. Mike, I believe the radiator shell is the same and the panels on the steel nose DM's and R's are the same. Vinny, it has a 237 and a 10 speed.
  2. Here's a DM on craig's list for Vinny

  6. We try to get along with our drivers. We are all trying to get the job done and if we are all on the same page it makes the job and day go by that much easier. Good communication is the key and our head sets really help with talking to the drivers. If they can't stay on their side in 22 ft. of lane they need to find another job and not make your job that much harder. One of our low bed trucks with a 600 cummins. First time I've seen this one out of Maine.
  7. A good operator shuts off his belt when switching trucks and spills none, maybe pass that along to them.Number one ground man and operator here! 2 million SY through the Wirtgen this year!

  18. Yes...I haven't had time for anything but work, up at 3:30 to 4:00 AM home at 8:00 or so PM. Enough time to sent in my reports then bed! To bad! Top heavy machine and then add a tank of water and full fuel tank to boot, would make things happen quickly. As for milling every ten yards, I have no ideas on this....would make more sense to just mill the whole thing out? Here is a pull off that we paved in then it was decided to mill it up the next day in Alburg.

  23. Your right my friend but Long Trail Triple Bag comes in a four pack and is one harsh brew! I am truly enjoying everyone's stories on haying! My twin and I were the stacking gurus' in the haying community where we grew up and always stacked the trucks and wagons then stack in every barn around. Eye's stinging from sweat and hay dust, looking forward to running down to the pond!
