  9. Mark, my Dad didn't get a lot of toys on the farm and the ones he had he took very good care of. It does mean a lot to me and hope one day to pass it down to a grand child(as long as it's taken care of) Rob, the hat is definitely part of the driver. He is wearing goggles too!
  10. One the interstate at 2" we can mill up to 28,000 SY on one set per day. It depends on the stone mix. Granite will eat teeth fasterand if your in a 4" cut with sharp 6 inch ballast under the mix you will be replacing the lower conveyor belt in less than 300 hours
  11. The deepest we go is 12" normally and that doesn't happen very often. What has happened in the past was a gas station leaking fuel and it was under the pavement then....FOOM! We usually will recheck the road for structures even if we have someone else check it first. Been there done that....
  12. Holy crap! That main couldn't have been that deep in the ground unless they hit a feed line. Call before you dig would have come in handy and I always get out in front with my metal detector. Glad no one got hurt in that ordeal.
