  1. I'm seeing more and more issues with that M ride spring suspension. Lots of bushing issues. Mack carriers exploding everywhere as well. I'm shocked. These Mack carriers are dropping like flies.
  2. First one hit Quebec start of this week.
  3. Unreachable tow hook mistakes were only made on the first batch of Titans (yep, no tow hooks) and the Rawhides with the big bumpers. They say the covers are like the visions plastic bumpers that snap in and out.
  4. She's a bit off.... First digit 2 does not always mean glider.... First digit 2 is actually Canada. Goes for cars as well. Also the listing for digit 11 is missing the "C" for Canada (Oakville assembly" The Canadian Oakvile trucks were not knockdown kits. The steel frame rails came in from Hayes Dana in Beamsville Ont. Using Canadian steel.
  5. Most likely correct on both counts. Oakville built Macks were at times ordered as underframe exhaust if they knew the truck was going to be upfitted with a bunk. An after market stack and bracket kit would be mounted and piped from the underframe muffler up beside the cab/sleeper. Others that had a factory stack/muffler and bracket would be remounted behind the bunk and piped in. Not many after market bunks in Canada were built with cut outs large enough for muffler and bracket space. This bunk does look like an Alumi bunk as pointed out with those molded hook up lamp brackets.
  6. This might be easier to look at for some...
  7. I'm not sure if anyone has seen the new model numbers so I'm posting what I have been given. More confusion. Yeah. New Model Description Cross Reference(1).pdf
  8. Production of the Anthem for customers doesn't start till the 3rd week of January from what I've been told.
  9. I think they are still building Hinos in Woodstock Ontario Canada at the Toyota plant as well. Knowing someone at a Hino dealer, it's extremely rare that a valve cover has ever been removed from one of their engines. Some of the engineering on the trucks seems strange, but very reliable trucks. Lots of Hinos in the Penske and other rental fleets here.
  10. My salesman said more like over 6000 orders. Can't get a Mack out of the factory till end of January right now. Antham production starts at the same time.
  11. He gets praise from myself. He can come off a little sharp and opinionated sometimes but who doesn't everyday. He and i have had different opinions about topics but I've always looked forward to his witty banter and different views from the other side of the fence. He is full of information and should be respected for that. Many people like myself would be less educated today without information he has been willing to share. It takes a lot of time to share the articles and knowledge he has picked up. That's why we are all here. Some forget that. All the best.
  12. Messaged him for something as well and he responded. He's around but laying low I guess??? Must be amassing info for some sort of review on the Antham that will stir up the hornets nest.
  13. If you have a Behr type fan clutch on tour ASET engine it has probably failed internally. This is not always the case, as there have been some wiring harness issues to the fan. On one Vision we had with a Behr fan clutch it use to fail every year and a half.
  14. As a fellow Canuck.....this was actually something that was also regularly installed at the dealer/branch side after delivery due to a lot of complaints with customers in MH E9 powered units that ran across the prairies in Canada. With a side wind customers felt the engine was not getting enough air into the under cab intake. Complaints were of both lack of power and black smoke. A good number of MH E9 powered units out of Toronto that hauled out west had this snorkel intake installed by the branch after delivery. It helped a bit, but not a lot. The under cab intake was thought to be too far under the cab in a side wind to suck a proper volume under load in. Doesn't mean it was the answer, but lots were installed as requested.
  15. I've got the choice of both. That's why I mix it up. Sometimes I like the quieter smoother trip I get from our newer dogs, sometimes I'm not. Depends on my mood and how long the woman can last in the smaller spaces. Lol. She enjoys both as well.
  16. You may want to get tour fuel system checked for combustion gases getting into fuel system through tour injector cups. If they have never been done it may need them. A sight glass test in the fuel system will help in the diagnosis.
  17. Agreed....we just wanted a better sleeper environment for our guys living in the trucks weekly. I get to drive around in a bunked out Superdog. I get It, its an attention getter but 13 hrs in a small cab gets to you after a bit and after years of doing it. I enjoy a run in one of our Pinnacles and my poor wife whacks her head on the cab roof exiting the bunk almost every time...lol. For the record I loath taking the Volvo out.
  18. It's what we have been waiting for. I've got my name in to demo upon arrival north of the 100th meridian Looking forward to getting rid of a Volvo 780.
  19. I'm interested. Requested the Canadian demo from my dealer when it becomes available months ago. I like that it looks more like a CH with the bunk space we need. Don't like that steering wheel.
  20. MR and MH windshields are also totally different. MH windshields only fit MH. MC and MR are same.
  21. That's the bunk on the RW truck fullfuel sold down south. It's an Alumi bunk with the blue interior.
  22. That cab ain't factory. There was no Canadian special MH cab available. Cutting that cab would mess with its inner metal frame structure. I would stay clear of that hack job.
  23. The team manager was a bit of a flop. The truck wasn't robust enough for what most fire units of the day required. The City of Toronto ordered 2 team managers that they never put into service. After the pdi and delivery to the city the trucks were found to be underpowered and had issues with handling and stopping once fully equipped. Even the factory plastic air lines in the chassis needed to be changed to braided at the dealer level as per Toronto spec. The 2 of them were sold and shipped to a Caribbean island. Too small for full size needs here in Toronto. This LRU has potential and a better back bone to build on. Not even comparable to the up to 36k lb gvw available on a Midliner chassis.
  24. Post some pictures. I'm sure you will get some guys private messaging making you offers after that. You can decide from there.
  25. This happened to be sitting on the dock at the Macungie plant. It's a crew cab LRU. An employee posted it on FB stating its possibly for a fire chassis. That's a neat idea.
