  1. I have returned to continue my Oration on scrapers, (got a headache just typing "scrapers". Ifn you ever win lottery and have a coupla million bucks to just blow off or give way for tax purposes, go buy a used scraper. It will swallow money, belch, and beg for more. heh heh,,walk in any make scraper parts house and watch them elbow one another and snicker when you announe your intentions and desire for "scraper parts". I aint seen anyting like em, they contain billions of parts. I guess if you built one from ground up yourself from ordered "reman" parts, it would cost like 6 billion. Again, excuse my lengthy oration, piss on scrapers. boo, hiss,,,no sir Rob, you couldnt give me one or pay me to babysit one,,,,,randyp
  2. Scrapers of all makes and models should be banned from earth, they are disgusting, loud, rough, MAN KILLERS! LOL. I think I have run every make and model ever made, including Terex and Cats largest made and I hate them all. I have a right to this opinion, I lay in a back brace for months because of a scraper, hate them, scrap them all. The very thought of putting a human up over the front wheels of one of these monsters gives me the geebies. Nevermind the fact they will move alot of dirt, would rather do it with a wheel barrow,,,LOL. Oh yeah, they claim "cushion ride" and "air ride", dont fall for that, its a trick to get you in it! Ifn i ever aquire a 105 howitzer, my first target will be a scraper. Well, thas my feelings, piss on a bunch of scrapers! randyp

  4. Almost forgot, ordered air filter from Mack dealer bout 40 miles from me. Lady in parts called me this evening and said parts were in. I told her I would run over there tommorrow. She said one of their employees lived in nuther town close to me, told me what road he took going home. I drove bout 9 miles, met him at catfish restaurant, got filter from him on his way home, ate big plate of catfish and went back home. Now thas what i call service!!! I tried to buy his dinner but he was in hurry to get home. Yep, thas service,,,,randyp
  5. Thanks, I got new tandem tires on it now, changed oil, greased it up good, getting bout ready to stick some dirt in it, (soon as I get an inspection sticker on it). I put 2 new batteries on it and a new alternator. Im sinking some cash in Big Bertha now. So far, seems to be a good buy. Transmission shifts real smooth and is very quiet, only quirky noise in cab now is tachometer throws a lil fit every now and then, makes a whirring noise and jumps around, then settles back down. Cable is prolly dried out. Im ready to load it and see how it pulls. randyp
  6. Now this is the exact reason they invented NAPALM. They can hide all they want to, just get everybody away and call in a napalm strike. Napalm ignores rocks, bushes, shrubbery, trees, just burns the f*ck right through it and everybody in the way. Wont have to mow next spring either,,,,,randyp
  7. The are not obsolete to work with, just gotta know your limitations. randyp
  8. I drove it home this evening, it ran really good, no strange noises. im gonna change oil in the morning whilst some on my kinfolk welds on the other one that I screwed up today. Prolly take him bout a day to fix it. randyp
  9. Oh yeah, They do and I have driven a many of them in the old strip mine. They were Cats, but just as big as that one. It was tough on the graveyard shift if you loaded on a backup ramp, only had one light shining in front of back tires to go by. The trailers were huge belly dumps. randyp
  10. Turned my custom made scanner on this morning and picked up some very strange chatter,,,something like,,"Have located suspect in sunny south florida,,,crackle, crackle,,,hiss,,bring helicopters and attack dogs and move in, take no prisoners,,,,over". "10-4, agent 61, leader wants to talk to him before he goes to deserted island 475, over and out." Run hatcity,,,Run! randyp
  11. well if ats all it takes, its quite possible I may be famous,,,,randyp
  12. Thats an outstanding collection billy!! I like those. Looks like you even put a coat of wax on them. For such a grand collection and your excellent use of lighting and shadow and tint in your Kodiacketronomy, you are hereby and henceforth allowed to use that word. I duly award you half interest in my copywright. Dont use it lightly or waste it,,,,,randyp
  13. Thats amazing! Watching machine work relaxes me,,,,,randyp
  14. Be warned billy, they better be posed and positioned correctly! We are a very demanding audience and will not tolerate shoddy and mis-focused Kodiacketronomy (pitcher taking). By the way, dont try to use that word, I copywrited it. randyp
  15. Yes Rob, such was the case when i bought the 86, lil ole screw were all forked up and had to buy cases on both sides. randyp

  17. Now you tell me! Hey Rob,,,whilst you here and available, the transmission level plug on those 2 stick 6 speed sure looks low on the case, dont it seem that way to you? On my 9 speed, seems like its a whole lot higher up on side of case. I know it does lots of oil slinging, and pretty sure thats the fill plug, but dam it looks low. randyp
  18. I do most fully agree with you there! randyp
  19. I quit doodling dirt a lil early today and went out where its still sitting. I havent brought it home yet. I aired all ole raggly tires up for short trip home, checked rear ends, transmission level. I went to pop lil red stopper out of front wheel to check oil and whole dam stemco window broke out, did same on other side too. I made it to parts store fore they closed and got new ones, went back and put them on. Gonna have to doodle dirt tommorrow so prolly be some time next week fore I bring it home, give it a good servicing and take it for new tandem tires. Did pull a few rat and bird nests out of a few places also. I hope ole Martin Luther dont mind, but will be bidness as usual on his holiday Monday. Im sure he would understand. I did get a call from slpwlker, He was going through Dallas and coming close my way, but I was bout to shower and leave with honey pie for nice dinner out so will have to catch him on another trip. All have a nice weekend. randyp

  24. History shows to have been a Texas truck all its life. For an 80 model, its very low mileage and shows very little sign of wear and tear anywhere. Interior cab is unbelievably clean and outstanding! Randyp
