Yes check the return line. My CH had the same problem

I just took motor to get rebuilt so not sure of cost. The 4 valve runs a little better than 2 valve.

I wondered if something happened I saw you had a picture of your Superliner on here the other day.

I think the R model is jealous, everytime I start working on the Superliner something needs fixed.

Im pretty sure Dynatard stuck, bent pushrods, took lobe off cam, not sure what else. I had problem with it about a year ago. The guy that worked on it was supposed to put a jake on it some weekend so I didn't have to be down again and time went by and I kind of forgot about it. This brought it to my attention though.

I had the truck towed home Wednesday and pulled the engine out. Of course the 4 valve had the cast timing cover. I decided against pulling the motor out of the Superliner. I went to Canton, Oh. to get another 4 valve engine, but it had a lot of things that were different so I took mine to get rebuilt. I figured while it was down I would replace the cab lights and of course the screws were rusted in the cab so now I have everything off and getting roof ready to paint

I got the cab painted a couple weeks ago. I took the hood off. The windshields and back window are in. Cab lights and air horns are on. Was working on door windows when R model died on me so this gets put on hold again. Sorry pictures aren't to good.

Is it white with maybe yellow stripe on it?

I saw a nice little single axle daycab F- model on a flatbed headed east on I-80 today. Hope it wasn't headed for a boat ride.

Just heard back from better business bureau, they closed the case said towing company made an effort to resolve this. Just as I thought it was a waste of time. And after a week and a half of my truck in the Mack garage and nothing much getting done I'm dragging it home tomorrow and swapping engines myself. Tired of people ripping me off. Getting it towed 70-80 miles for $350. At least this guy isn't screwing me over.

Thanks for the help. When I get the R model back here I'll check it out. I just put a front main seal in it and I think it was a steel cover but my memory sucks so I'll have to wait and check it out. I found another 4 valve engine but I hate to spend the money and not know what im getting.

I sent an e-mail to better business bureau about this. Got a reply from towing company said he gave me a 50% discount since I was an o/o. He said bill should have been $3600 and some. He said I didn't appreciate someone helping me out. He also said he couldn't help it that I drove an old Mack. What the hell does it matter what year or kind of truck he tows. I've talked to two other towing companies that would have done it for $300 and $350. As soon as I told them what I paid they knew who it was. They both said he's a crook. The one said the crook will charge $50 to $60 thousand for a roll over. He said the most he's ever charged was $8900. I doubt anything will come of this but I'm going to keep pushing it.

Thanks . The 2 valve is in my Superliner only has 7000miles since rebuild. R model is at Mack garage for over a week and there not making much progress so I'm thinking about dragging it home and put Superliner motor in it and get back to work. I will then fix 4 valve and put in Superliner. After all the work and money I've put in the Superliner I thought the 4 valve would be better in it. A lot of work to switch motors but I'm tired of garages charging so much and taking forever to do anything. They told me Friday I'm at $2000.00 already and they don't have it tore down yet.

Will a 2 valve engine work in a truck that has a 4 valve now. I don't have the truck here now but I think the front mount is different. Anyone know?

Sharp truck

I did drivers side on my Superliner. I cut out the old one and made a new one and welded it in.

I tried to make it to the garage because I really didn't want to call a wrecker. It was just missing at first but then it started knocking pretty good so I figured I better stop. I had to pay them before they would set it back on the ground.Service manager at the garage said they're known for high prices.
