  3. Left at 2:30 this morning for Canada got to I-90 at 3:30 and noticed truck was missing. Figured I would nurse it down the shoulder and try and make it to Harborcreek to mack garage but it started knocking pretty good so at 6:00 I finally found someone to tow it.10 mile tow cost me $1815.00. They said it was illegal to tow whole unit so they brought a tractor to pull trailer. Driver of tractor dumped his air and backed under trailer came about an inch from sticking it in the back of his bunk. He did that twice and told I him he was about a foot low. The other clown hooking up to my tractor chained up the front axle and then asked me if I had the suspension aired up. I looked at him and said yea those springs are as aired up as there going to get. I told them what i thought when he told me how much. Service manager said I got a good deal at that price from them, he figured they probably charged about $3400.00. He told there was another guy that would have done it for around $250.00. Live and learn.
  4. That's not bad. My daycab r model weighs right around 20,000.
  5. Buffalo is okay now. Was up there Monday and Wednesday. Most of the snow is gone already.
  6. Didn't think it was ever going to happen but I finally got it primered two weeks ago. I had the day off so I got it blocked and wet sanded today. Its supposed to warm up this weekend so maybe I can make it black.
  7. Rim clamp nuts should be the same front and rear. My 69 r model had smaller nuts on steer axle though. They were either 1 1/16 or 1 1/8.
  8. I'm loaded for up there tomorrow. Hope the snow isn't over the hood.
  9. I just priced hubs for my r and I got a hub number of hf725k. It's a 12000# though.
  10. I tried buying a u-joint for mine the other day at Erie Mack and they said they didn't carry them anymore because they didn't sell any. I told him if they had some they might sell them.
  11. The lining idea is not good on frames. They did that on my r model and everywhere it gets chipped the water and salt gets in and it stays there. I've been scraping it off everywhere it comes loose. They covered everything under the truck with it and I hate it.
  12. I got my first issue in a long time yesterday

  20. Was wondering what all is involved in replacing front main seal on 89 E6 350. Pull radiator and balancer and anything else? Do you need a special puller to get balancer off?
