  1. we have the same problem around here. the Mack dealer don't know much about r-rw-rd.. they we're doing a cam shaft job on a 1986 R model with E6-350. they called me because no one in the whole dealership knew how to set the timing on the fuel pump. remove their labtop and they're game over...
  2. Then it might no be syncro.. You can remive yhe rear part only but you need the tool that will jold the shaft.
  3. What about the rs700l on the side of the f model??
  4. 38k axle.
  5. First there is no synchro in the 12 speeds, check the air regulator to make sure you have the correct working pressure. Try to change the air filter on it also. Other then that it could be to much wear in the air piston that shift it.Putting an 18 mack in it is a major waste of money in my opinion. Get an hi flow oil pump, that should solve your jake problem and for more power, pitsburg muffler is another waste of $$. Call Harold at north west truck center for more power 800-665-9248
  6. Another lawn ornament. Bought it in California. Anyone remember this truck?
  7. Dad's truck. E9, 12 speeds, 44 on neway.
  8. We have 5 RB tractor on the run. Sorry for posting canadian truck in the chicago Thread! They're nice but being built with heavy spec and short wb don't help the ride!
  9. Would that truck be my truck twin?? Vin number please!
  10. does it qualify for superliner pictures?
  11. I had one nice R model for sale once. all aluminium budd, 2 stacks, nice pant job. An African buying junk CH wanted the old R model but he explained me that it was not for work. The rich guy buying all the CH in Africa wanted a 'show truck'... sounds really weird at first but it look like there is a least one guy there that care about his Mack..
  12. I bought this 1966 Mack B-815sx with his old V8 in Kansas city. I don't have any use for it other then having a B-815sx. I wanted to save it from scrap, I'm now looking for a transport, I'm in Québec Canada but I can go and grab it US if the transporter don't want to haul in Canada (in NY or Vt about 120 miles from a border). I am willing to sell it if it end up in a good garage! I would consider trade of lower, same or higher price.
  13. Out of balance clutch, bent crankshaft for miscelanous other reasons? The clearance would have cause this sooner i think no? But still possible
  14. I want to swap my 4.17 to 3.87, thanks for the advise. You can check your power divider, i had one that went bad and you could feel it in the transmission shifter.
  15. is that mack rears or vendor? if the growl change with height I would suspect a bad u-joint. maybe the angle of the driveline is incorrect.
  16. But I remember a picture posted here of the CL in action, nice truck too.
  17. As we can see, nothing better then a SuperDog.
  18. I love his Super-Liner. sweet rig
  19. I bought one of his 2 truck he had. Mine is the one that was ordered brand new for the movie. He still have the original tanker with his restored Mack RS700L that was also used in the movie. I bought (still at Dan Bruno's place) an identical tanker only a few number away on the vin from the original one. The truck is now home in Québec Canada, it's on the coming project to restore it to it's original condition.
  20. they're out of Wisonsin or Michigan.. I think it's Schwind trucking
  21. I bought it from Dan, that is true!
  22. They're a start up video on youtube that shows the rear rusted badly and I spoke to the guy there (very nice to talk with) and he confirm me that the cab is pretty much shot. I'm waiting for a call back of the owner... Long wheel base alumunium frame is always good to have.
  23. Cab is like most f model cab.. Rusted badly. Very very sad.. Quite a truck
  24. damn it, that's what I wanted...
