  1. does anybody know anyrhong about 283 twin turbo? http://www.truckpaper.com/listings/forsale...B77E7D18B338209
  2. somebody gotta stop Superdog, he'll take home every Mack and leave nothing for other Mack fan!
  3. nop, hood had difference. take a look at the older topic there is one Cadillac Mack. this one is looking like an RS (superliner cab) but got a R model hood. that's why it' look strange... other details on this site too http://www.stlouisdumptrucks.com/convoy9-04b_006.htm
  4. 12 speeds Mack are summum of tranny I think... old driver that don't wanna shift anymore use them like a 5 speeds(start in the hi at the shifter and stay there) the real shift pattern for these tranny is 1 lo 1 hi 2 lo 2 hi.... when you want to go from lo to hi you just put your feet off the pedal switch into high and press the fuel again... pretty simple and nice to shift..
  5. to bad for Volvo, they'll stop produce their plastic rollin' machine and only produce Mack..
  6. what are you waiting for? we wantto see that brochure!
  7. some R got the big frame that bolt on the frame (like a square tubing) and have a look at the before you bought any cauz there is different model from R and there is a model for the Ch (muffler more offset). if you don't make it like an integral sleeper and don't put the sleper air ride, just fix your straight pipe to the sleeper with some U bolt (chrome of corse) maybe like a freightliner (soud ugly but could be nice...)
  8. I don't think it will improve that much the sound.. don't understand why put 2 of them if it's not for performance... cost lots of money, lots of try maybe to get the right set-up with your pump and good boost pressure... now they can take your old turbo and change the fan in it to make it more powerfull without getting bigger or anything..
  9. I'll hang out on friday night with a Mack like that. rolling motel. after party inside...
  10. tsss, I bet with some fiberglass the Mack still on the road... they didn't take an ugly ford or pete or kenworth... they're not able to reach that speed and would probably felt apart before hitting the wall or the engine would blow....
  11. bigger engine don't make speed. unless you're loaded and could not reach the top rpm. better way is to change rear ends. don't know how hard is to fit another tranny in a B... some minor changes could be made by tire size...
  12. can go to a mack dealer, or do it yourself. just find a good mack book that explain it to you... not so long to do or complicated. don't really bother for the fuel in my opinion. maybe a little but if you go to a dealer gonna cost a lots...
  13. the compressor never stop pumping on these Mack, that's why this nice sound.. the signal from the governor goes thrue the exhaust of the air dryer...
  14. some b model don't have park brake... our have been modified long ago. maybe a pics can help you?
  15. maybe a small leak of fuel somewhere? don't really think it's a big trouble. don't see why the priming pump can be involved. if it don't leak there is no problem sould start first time... manual priming pump or secondary fuel pump taht you're talking about?
  16. to much girl want to drive big truck so they help them. they don't put any gear shift on new blender...
  17. heard about the heated muffler? it's like a catalyser that will burn as high as 600 to burn all the pollution. I'll really apreiciate to store that truck inside during summer. will be relly glad to go and make some road services. imagine all the steam coming out on a rainy day or during winter. just good to cook a steack
  18. this make me laught. We own a 1987 R model tractor 300Hp with a 7 speeds. This Mack is simply undestructible. not the way you should shift a truck but sometimes when me and my brother get crazy and think that we are at the races this tranny can be the best one. from second to third it's a powershift. keep the pedal to the metal, the other boots right under the clutch pedal and swing that stick... yess it works! pretty sure the wheel come off the ground sometimes. all the big bird and Cummins are impress how this little Mack pull.
  19. don't worry about king pin Tim, ad a second turbo and keep these 2 tires far from the ground. E9 power.
  20. cost a lots, but you got a lots too. nothing is free but I agree with Tim about the E7. changing an E9 fotr a Cat or a Cummins i think you wanna punish your Mack for the great work he did earlier.
  21. http://www.bandag.com.au/bandag_bullet.htm not a Mack. not a 998 cubic inches. but not so bad too
  22. they only want to be different. it's looking good and one of a kind. don't just see that it's a B model. in fact it's a B model cab... nothing except this. maybe innovative too much?? does anybody know anything about the mecanic in this truck?
  23. Hy Barry, i was on the Mack site from Australia and found a couple article in their Mack shop not available in USA. Also their Bulldog magazine is realy impresive with all these Titan Mack and stuff like that. I would and certainly lots of BMT member's will be interested by having these magazines and products that they offer... if lots of us want these maybe by a Mack dealer we could reusse to have some of these in the USA at a decent price.. just asking and hopping
  24. Hey Superdog, where are all these Mack you own? what's your business hour to visit Mack land? make a long trip dfor 2-3 Mack is not like doing it for... how many Mack???
  25. heard that they use lots of oil when not loaded? not sure maybe other E9 people can tell you the truth
