I will say, I have known/driven some garbage trucks that when on route, you could hit a park lever that would/should put the trans. in N and set the park brake too. Maybe he can move away from the area, say raleigh, NC and apply for a roll=off position

Engine has gone into de-rate With Cruise control off, press and hold the set button. Watch the lightning bolt and count the code. It will prolly go something like 4 and then three (just random numbers) That code will give an idea as to the problem. get the code and post here. -
