Welcome Bluedog . I run a 2001 CX, same platform as you are looking at. E-7 427, 10 spd. Motor runs fine , no major problems. The original radiator was a plastic/aluminum unit. Most have already been changed by now. It would cost about $700 for a new, steel one. It would be interesting to see if the owners ran fuel additive, as not doing so caused problems related to the camshaft/fuel pump connections. Good motor overall. Before all the computerized and exhaust crap, so less problems. If you have work lined up and don't have to sink a lot of money into it, I would say you will have a good runner(til you reach retirement) Be good to it, it will be good to you.

When I had mine replaced, make sure you get new bolts. new style gasket set. If the cam is not position right you have to really push down on spring.

If i have a load on, I can feel the front bounce a bit. I do drop the axle and it settles out nice. Even so, the truck will lean a bit more. Like I said earlier, not a big deal. Was just wondering if i could add some to the rear only. Thanks, Ed

Sorry about that pic. Have NO idea how it got there, but I don't think that rear is sitting low at all. Regarding my truck, I was just wondering if you could adjust just the rears. I have a long overhang from the rear axle to back of truck, so thats probably why it sits like that. Even when i have a good load and with the boom on top, yeah it leeeeans a bit.

Not to derail. my truck sits heavy to the rear. Can I adjust the rear to level truck? or does it fill all bags the same?

How's the dog doin today? Them air springs are easy to replace, just a PIA to have to do it. Specially when you got a load on. Did the top bracket come with it? mine did, but I just took it off and set it somewhere in the garage. Should have snagged one of them deer. Venison is the ghoot
