  4. Drivers side, underneath, bout right under door hinge area. Mine needs a 1/2 inch ratchet head (square) and a little extension to loosen. It is in a tough area to see if lots of road debris. Mine also has a round flange type thing re; type of oil to use.

  12. Yeah thats a problem being skinny and all. Thought of swinging boom over front and attach a strap to use as a pulley system. Problem is moving to side to set down and pick up new one. Thats it. i'm getting a service truck with a crane
  13. Thanks all. the torque arm only was a PIA with the body propped up a little. 3/4 breaker to get started and tightened. As for the radiator, talked to a local shop today. $575 plus $15 shipping, and about $200 to do the job. Mack was looking at $1200 just for the rad. They are checking to make sure it is an in/out replacement

    E-bay had a 1950 LJX partially redone. Asking 15,000 HK's brother in law lives in Danbury, CT where the truck was located Didn't look too bad but too much $$$ for me
  15. I got an 01 Vision. If it's the same, pass. side of unit is duct work. couple torx screws to remove. Filter (if there is one) is between duct and unit. Mine was FULL of leaves, crap. i check it monthly. yep hitting 80's and up here in FLA

  17. need to replace torque arm. Actually need bushing replaced but Mack only sells the complete arm. How difficult to change, providing everything still in line. Don't look tough but just want to be sure. Also, where can I get a metal radiator? Alum/plastic is starting to leak.

  22. Where are you planning on finding a driver?yrs. exp? record? rate of pay?maint. costs and who does it? workers Comp!!! Alot more to it than just buying the truck. I applaud your desire to get a truck but these are questions you really need to answer to see if it will work.
  23. Don't know the whole answer but, depends on the clearance around the bumper/ fender. also, if you go aluminum, make sure you get LONGER studs
