    be careful what you wish for. Buddy of mine was running straight stacks. Got a nice DOT inspection at the scalehouse...all good As he was leaving, Highway patrol pulled him over and wrote him up for "modification of exhaust" And the DOT inspector just shrugged his shoulders

    when you cut the 7-way, did you separate all the wires? check the wires all the way back. Sounds like a short somewhere

    2002 and up actually, the newer ones with MP series are good. Just make sure the bugs got worked out of them. get the vin# and go to a MACK dealer. They can pull it up and tell you what was done/not done. BUT, that is if it were done at a MACK shop.

    2001...as I said, no problems. usual maint. stuff, fan, water pump, did have the center section of exhaust manifold break. Coolant hose here and there. BUT have not had to open motor at all

    I have the 427/10 spd Fuller...no problems motorwise at 758,000 460 are good too

    spring bushings are shot. Sometimes its easier to replace entire spring set than just change bushings. OR, just spray open gear grease into it to keep it quiet

    I believe it should be AVOID the AI 2001 or older with an E7..can't go wrong

    clutch went out Thursday get called that the PTO/pump has issues. Parts are in Muncie........Indiana maybe Wed. I can be up and running

    DAMN! I didn't know Bethel Sand went out. That r-400 originally had a Scania/quad box. FIRST MACK I ever drove. Air assist steering too loved the sound of that steel nose DM

    look at the make up of some of the security forces that go out. 48% US, 45% Britain, a tirechanger from Chile, ... BUT!!! the commanding officer is from Uzebekistan.

    you can also check JP Chrome. Believe I saw they had Superliner bumpers. The bumper for my CX took maybe 1/2 hr. to change.
