  1. What year? motor? Most filters would be available at Petro, T/A NAPA. Not MACK brand but Baldwins are good With regular maintenance they are VERY reliable. Knowing how to do a lot of stuff keeps the costs down. Get the vin# and call a Mack dealer. They can give you the part #'s for u-joints, wheel bearings and seals Good luck...Ed

  9. the PB was able to work its way down thru the throttle pedal. If the whole thing is working fine now, just throw a bit of PB every so often. dirt, grime, "stuff" can get caught in there and bind it up

  12. nice looking rig driver. I have a 2001 with the 427. Very good motor. just about 750,000 and never opened the motor, have a manual 10 spd. so can't comment on trans. They turn well due to the set back axle. By now, some of the bugs they had should be taken care of.

  17. just imagine in some neighborhoods if you took out the Opah Win-fey show BTW-I only take out the power to the landfill I avoid streets that have low wires/trees
  18. The R400 I ran had air assist steering. The air is not-NOT-steady. as you turn the wheel, it gives a push at a certain point. Like stated, if you hit a small rock, and the wheel begins to turn, BAM the air gives a push. that steering wheel will spin about 2800rpm. and of course your thumb is inside the wheel and the spoke comes around and WHACK most times, it happens when it wants to bend your thumb away from the hand if you have one, try turning the wheel without moving. You will hear a pssh---pssh
  19. Ya see? bring up something, and we have plenty of safe options
  20. B/U ;ites don't work, indicator on dash is very dim. where is switch on transmission-Eaton 10 spd? Background-we had VERY heavy rain two weeks ago. 8 inches in less than a day. Two days later, while running down road, indicator got bright and could see B/U lites and alarm are on. at 50 mph. Imagine water shorted something somewhere, but need to start at trans. switch any and all ideas appreciated.....Ed
  21. I agree with everyone about air ride BUT, you run a frameless dump?. Very unstable when dumping, then add the slow reaction of air ride .02
