  1. Should be an E7..non E tech. will have some electronics, but not too much. Good motor. Mine is 2001 with 721k
  2. Check for a shorted line between chair and keyboard
  3. Welcome aboard! Nice that a new member posts pics of a super truck on initial post
  4. Check with a MACK dealer about getting an operators manual somewhere on this site is a readout of the fault codes (lightning bolt thingy) Take a good 1/2 day with a grease gun and start at the very front. Look at any area that moves. steering box, steering shaft. brakes, king pins top and bottom, with clutch pedal pushed-there is a grease fitting up there for throw out bearing, u-joints-hit both fittings to make sure both sides work, pitman arm, tie rod ends. Grab hold of u-joints and push/pull to see if they move-may need to be replaced, center/carrier bearing-same thing, torque arms check rears for fluid level, look at plug. it is magnetized so any metals would collect on it. Indication of a bearing going bad. Is there signs of oil getting slung on tires inside-wheel seal bad I know where the grease fittings are on mine and it still takes me 1&1/2 hours
  5. Are you building sufficient air pressure? If the air lite is on, that may be the starting point. Low air will keep the brakes on too
  6. she just told me get the tires fixed. Forgot- she saw the fire "stinguisher then axed-yes she said that- where da box is ? Da box, da box thing I showed her my lunch box, then slid it up so she could see the box of triangles. its empty, but she don't know "Aint nobody got time fo dat"
  7. Well, The State of Florida disbanded the actual DOT and made all FHP DOT "certified" She was sitting at the landfill and pulled me over. Get my reg. and insurance papers, reaching to get my wallet for License and med card. She asks "Do you have an updated insurance form?. this one expired on 12/14" Me-"HUH?" "Oh wait, we aint into December yet. Nevermind" Truck was facing the morning sun and she is trying to figure out if the cab lites were on. then she gigged me for two tires low on tread
  8. That RPM range is good. 1200 is THE bottom for mine But you found it was running 65 mph at about 1600 Good spot-fuel efficient, and can give a little to pass Werner
  9. IF you have a U model, weight of gal is directly proportional to fuel load on the left tank
  10. I would put the bungee on the shop towels to protect it from the heat
  11. Time the yoke? you mean make sure it is in line with the rest of the u-joints? Torch? well that changes things
  12. did you have the A/C on when the fan kicked in? Alternator was prolly shot and they just didn't worry about it. had just enough juice to keep you running. OR, batteries were shot and you ran on alt. power. Glad you made it home...Good luck
  13. Looks like I need to change it. can move it about 1/8 inch by hand. Looks like: remove U-joint, pull large nut, slide off yoke, slide off bearing reverse process. Will change out u-joint at the same time. Is that it? is there more to it? Torque for the nut? Have the tools...ambition is questionable
  14. nice area to run in this time of year how is the cx?
  15. Listen to FWD. That's how he learned the building codes and how to do inspections.
  16. Yardo 1) randy is back in love....or lust. leaver him alone 2) I would rather stay here in the warm sun, enjoying the scenery, than be up there with a bunch of wannabe rednecks scenery:
  17. that is the oil cooler gasket leaking, Common problem. need gasket AND O-rings. Also, bolts are common to break-aluminum housing/steel bolts. Have some good removal tools and Heli-coils ready. Engine block is the same, just some computer upgrades primarily Overall, a very good motor-I have 720,000 on mine and haven't had real problems make sure it has a newer radiator. Originals were alum./plastic-POS
  18. damn! to late. was thinking about stretching it and putting a loader on it
  19. did you get some ear plugs too?
  20. Happy Birthday Tozzi!! Since Mr. Hancock can't seem to post a pic of beer or cake-
