To post pic's at Hanks forum you need to have a Photobucket account or an account at one of the other photo sites. I am not sure about posting on Hank's main site. I think you may need to forward the pic's to him for posting and he appreciates a small donation as the site is his and not supported by outside sponsorship as I understand it.

I don't. Didn't carry a camera with me back then. I did drive it several times and always got questions about the Lady Liberty on the sides. I didn't have many answers about it back then as it was bought used to fill a gap in the fleet at the time. It was only purchased because it was availble, not because it was a limited edition unit. I know it was sold to a small fleet in Lima, OH that, at the time, had several MH's and it was being run hard. Don't know if it is still running now or not. -

I believe that most of the 21 MH613's that we had ended up in Central America. I do know that the last one (Freedom Edition) went to Lima, OH a few years ago. -
There were horizontal engines way back. I too would say this truck was a straight truck that probably pulled a pup. back in the day. This would be a good pic to post at ATHS. You would get all the info you are looking and a lot more. Possibly even a VIN, and end buyer of the truck. Also I don't think the tag is a lift axle. Just a dead axle to allow higher GVWR.

I cannot say that I have ever seen any right hand drive trucks @ any shows. But I always thought that a bit of a novelty on the truck pulling circuit would be a right hand drive Superliner.... -
Your best bet is to contact the series (NTPA, ATPA etc) that you want to pull in. They will have a rules form that you will have to follow in order to be legal in their series.

I hope that it goes to a good home. That is a nice survivor and considering the Jetsonic light bar it was still in use into the late 1980's or later. Some good history there, wish I had the means as I already have a plan for it. Personally, if I had the means, I could see spending from $5,000.00 to $7,500.00 on it. With all the steel in it, scrap value is probably in the neighborhood of $3,000.00 depending on what that region is paying for scrap currently plus the vintage emergency equipment, the lightbar, etc.

Another Nail In The Owner/operator Coffin

Last Tuesday I get called to assist at a 2 semi crash. One truck was drivable, other needed towed. Truck one rearended truck 2 at about 15mph. drive one was fine, but hood and radiator knocked out of truck. truck 2 ICC bumper slightly bent, truck 2 driver complaining of neck & back pain was packaged, immobilized loaded in an ambulance & hauled off to the hospital. I drove his truck back, O/O Pete, looks like he is in way over his head... I'm thinking he sees an easy way out at the expense of a very, very minor crash. -
Well "new" Fortmeyers (at US30,US33,I-69)has been called the Fort Wayne Travel Plaza for years now & "old" Fortmeyers (at US33 & Washington Center Road) was leveled & turned into a small fuel stop. There is a real good chance that you have seen my truck setting in Dan's yard just East of Wapak on the east side of St John's OH north side of the road up on the hill. Dan had a many R Macks, a few F's & a Superliner. Last I knew he also still had one H but it is in pretty rough shape & 2 building full of Mack parts.

Don't believe anything that you hear & only half what you see. I am sure that there are no trailers under the runways at Logan. No longer then it would take to recover a trailer there is no reason to leave it behind to deteriorate & create a void in/under the concrete to create a hazard for aircraft. There is no way a trailer would be allowed to be left in the fill. In Ft Wayne a new 7 story hotel was demolished before it was finished because of unsafe soil. http://www.indianasnewscenter.com/news/local/39749242.html Just my observation... T. -

Just before I was let go at PCI Trucking we bought 2 Reitnouer Big Bubba 48'X102" flats. We put one behind a company Pete 379 & the other behind an O/O Mack CX. The Mack CX could scale 51K with 3/4 tanks & it was fully loaded out, 12 chains/binders, 4" & 2" straps tarps, edge protectors, etc. The Pete loaded out the same with 1/2 tanks could scale 48,500#. -

I was tired last night (tonight too!) as I read your question and missed the most important part of the question. For the CL7XX trucks, there was an exterior Elite trim package too. I believe it was an "Elite" badge on the grille, and a black oval with the Bulldog for each side of the hood. I think any level interior trim package was available with the CL7XX Elite trucks. Not positive about this anymore. My CRS is kicking in again! T. -

I am getting kinda old so memory is fading a bit. I cannot remember what the 1st & 2nd trim levels were when the CH & CL were 1st introduced, but the 3rd trim level was Elite. In the CH and I believe the CL6XX highway tractors in the interior you had a choice of either silver (gray) or maroon cloth & leather with Cherry dash inserts, choice of Panasonic or Alpine stereo system with 2 6X9's speakers in rear corners of cab, 2 each 4 inch speakers in ceiling of cab above driver and passenger seats and 2 6 inch speakers in sleeper. Also in sleeper a clock with alarm. Back in the cab an overhead console, leather wrapped steering wheel, tilt & telescopic steering, carpet throughout, Bostrom or National seats with dual arm rests, and Bulldog embroidered into the sides and "Mack" on the back, the Bulldog was also embroidered on the leather shifter boot. map lights above driver and passenger door and 3 way entry light above both doors and in console. There was also a map pouch at the base of the center section of the dash and permit holders on both doors, with a vent in the left door and a spot window in the right. Power windows and locks were an option but not part of the Elite trim. I drove two CH613's with Elite trim, a 91 and a 93. Both were the silver trim and were very comfortable and rather driver friendly. -
I did all of the above today and I also thanked a few Vets today, including the one I am married to.

I was just noticing that it has been nearly 4 years since we switched over to this forum from the old one. Maybe it is just me getting older, but it doesn't seem like it has been that long.
