  1. Good to see this turn into a conversation! I agree about dumping money into something, to turn it into something it’s not. Had that conversation with a guy about 2 months ago and he called last week and said that he figured I saved him about $20k by laying out the facts for him. He’s giving me a load of mulch because of it! Union/non union, keep the hammer down and get it done.
  2. Liking that White Value-Liner.
  3. I shake my head a lot of o/o’s. Poorly spec’ed equipment for the job at hand and they wonder why they go broke. The smart did drive Mack’s, when Mack actually built trucks.
  4. I like to see what the other side is thinking. Just laugh it off, she’s a hoot!
  5. I don’t see where their profitability should play into the rezoning. Does the project fit the area and do they meet the criteria.
  6. Spent some time at Mohr’s this spring. According to the sister, her bother took off for the Northwoods.
  7. Thanks for the info, the style of the logo made me think it wa s from that era.
  8. We acquired a 91’ RD with what I consider to be an odd steering wheel. Any one see you of these before?
  9. Love those Wolfmier trucks!
  10. A boy, his Dad, and a Mack truck.... don’t get much better than that.
  11. My son, Paul and I, made a run down to Indy yesterday to pick up a genset for a customer. It ended up being about 4K lbs heavier than originally thought and it wasn’t ready to be released when we arrived. So while waiting for permits and the genset we killed time at a hole in the hole taco joint. Then HammerDown for Belvidere!
  12. Northfield Block had a dispatcher that had those bridge clearances down pat, he could put you anywhere in the city. He cut his teeth hauling newspapers for the Sun-Times. One of the best dispatchers I ever worked for.
  13. Yes, he is. Don't worry, the trailer got it's yearly hand wax and is ready to go.
  14. So I had to look up that carrier. Through a few buyouts that company became JLP transport and they hauled into the Dean Foods Dairy in Huntley,IL where lived when I was a young boy. They had a fleet of R-models with small sleepers and were always kept very nice. Always thought they had nice equipment.
  15. Nice to hear we have mutual friends!
  16. Wow!
  17. Our guys love them. Personally I prefer an M-Drive or an Endurant over the Ultrashift.
  18. You were out in our neighborhood!.
  19. It’s waiting for it’s turn to get it’s stripes
  20. Driver wasn’t hurt. Hit by a rock box with the usual suspect driving. Totaled out a very nice CH. now the battle begins.
