  1. Judging by the Peter Baker truck, you were in our nieghborhood.
  2. Here is #68. About as close as you will get to a new 98' CH. Picked it up a year ago from a company in Sussex WI that had just done the motor, trans and both rears at Milwaukee Mack. They were getting rid of it beacause their bean counters said it was the next oldest truck, so get it gone. We stripped it down to the frame rails, new hood, doors, back wall, cab floor, bumper, grille, and just about anything that could come off or go bad. E7 350, Mack 9 sp, Mack rears . We have a set back CH coming in next. I will try to get more pics through the whole process on the next one.
  3. Kids can sleep in the oddest places. Here's my oldest curled up on the couch in my R.
  4. I'm pretty sure that tank came our yard and was traded for some bin block forms.
  5. It has a radio. That should help make it more pleasurable. I put it up on a load board, just have to see if we get any hits. Otherwise someone is getting on a plane and driving it home.
  6. Ford Louisville Mixer in Minot ND to Marengo,IL. 11 foot 6 inches tall, 8 feet wide, 29 feet long(bumper to bumper). Not in a big hurry, but like it back sooner rather than later. 815.378.6629 thanks! Brad
  7. I feel your pain. We over here at the Stark shop have asked about a similar truck. We don't need a big block, I think the MP8 is too much for what we do, but a refreshed CH axle forward would great. Do something with the grille and head lights. It's been 20 plus years and our 2014 doesn't look much different from our 1996. Personally I want an updated Value-liner, base it off the Granite chassis. Light weight classy looking axle forward vocational truck.
  8. The F and the B are cleaned up and ready to go. Hope to see lots of local trucks out there!
  9. There is going to be a Truck show incorporated into the Belvidere Heritage Days festivities. This would be the first year for trucks at Heritage days. Hope some of you can make it out to make it a Success! Saturday June 27th 10AM-6PM. If you have any questions PM me, and I will try to get you an answer.
  10. Chi-town will chew you up and spit you out, if you ain't careful.
  11. These kids nowadays have no sense of adventure.
  12. Sent you a PM about a visor
  13. I would buy none of the trucks presented here and stick with what I have, because I know what I have there to work with it. CH might be lighter, maybe 500 lbs. ch might get better MPG's maybe .25 better? I know you are hauling tonnage but is that 500 lbs worth being a slave to a payment and spinning out all the time? As far as MPG's go, I'm guessing you do 300-350 miles a day. We are talking about 3 gallons of fuel. You will pay that in interest. If that CH has an E-tec, and the cam hasn't been done, it will need to be done. That's a big job and will go down when you are needing to work. If I was a one man band I would stick with the RD and throw down on a new trailer. The biggest thing at the end of the day is that your truck is unique and it stands out. Do you want to blend in?
  14. The Galbarth trailer doesn't happen to be pulled by a Black KW T800, does it? I think high teen$ on that trailer would be decent.
  15. I all ready said my piece on this.
  16. My brother told me to get it bought, but he didn't offer up a way to pay for it.
  17. Log book? He ain't hauling logs!
  18. You got it.
  19. I think that sleeper is from a Superliner that was originally from the Mchenry area.
  20. Recently got a new one from Big Truck Hoods, www.bigtruckhoods.com they are out of Decatur,IN. $1500 fit very nice and they are good people to deal with.
  21. Our 700 was wrecked last year and it is time to let go of what is left. I wanted to offer it to everyone here before it hauled to the scrap yard. Hood is pretty decent except for the rear part of the right fender. The cab is tweaked pretty good on the right side. We are going to keep the drivers door and seat. Th steer axle has budd hubs and power steering. I open to offers. If you have any interest PM me.. Thanks, Brad
  22. I can think of a yard in Marengo where that R-model would fit right in.
  23. 97'-02' have been very good to us.
