    My Dad ran a 300/5sp all over hell on and off road. Just had to have a plan going into a soft situation. Ran it till the crank broke then updated to an E7 and a 12 sp

    Here’s one my Dad was driving when I was born back in 1981. Pretty sure it was a 78’ 4200 Detroit v8 with a 13 sp on Hendrickson extended spring.

    I saw that truck on there. It was a sweet one.

    The cab has some rust on the back at the bottom and the drip rail is pretty tuff also. Having driven Mack’s most of my life, driving a Cummins is a bit different. My boys and I have had a blast getting it back up and running.

    I passed it on to my Dad thinking he would be all over it, but he wasn’t.

    Ours are baffled. We can haul 52k in the tank which like 4650 gals. The tank pictured is a 5000 gal, when loaded is about 6-8 inches down from the lid. It pulls decent, but our 6200 baffled tank pulls better.

    We haul liquid fertilizer in them. It’s an old food grade tank that we stripped the outer skin and insulation off of to cut weight.

    The cowl on the front of the cabs are different, making it not work.

    Oh, and fun with electricity. Cant beat it. I have gotten more comfortable with it since I have been working with the ready mix plants.

    Agree on having the right spec’d truck. We got guys that borderline fight for the truck with the arm rest on the right side of the seat. 🤦🏻
