  1. Calm down, the picture is back from August.
  2. I'm as proud of it, as I'm of all our Macks. Some of the people I work with on the other hand, think I need to get my head checked after I drug it home. I for one, can see its good traits. Newer frame rails, perfect hood, solid trunnion, stainless breather. Damn, I'm falling in love with it all over again.
  3. I haven't been inside it. Few holes on the outside, nothing bad.
  4. You got it. They are on the north west corner of s.Main (rt 2) and Harrison
  5. I sound like an idiot most of the time and have gotten past it bothering me.
  6. I think the motor puked a few years ago.
  7. I have the remains of one of those 82' Wehane R models. It is one the most used up R models I've ever seen. It has a 60 high rise double eagle sleeper on it. 300hp 2 valve with a 5 sp on taperleaf with 3.65 rears.
  8. It was on craiglist for sale about a year ago. I think it is an E-9 and a 12 speed. They weren't looking for crazy money out of it, but more then I wanted to spend.
  9. I like the daylight doors, don't know about those paddle handles.
  10. Ours failed due to the oil coolers failing/ running to warm and breaking down the oil. and also the snycro issues.
  11. We have 2 of those trans and both have failed. We rebuilt using PAI parts and switched to an air cooler for transmission. Knock on wood they have held up.
  12. Ten tires, six wheels. If you call them a ten wheeler around here you get looked at kinda funny.
  13. We ran a bunch of of knock off brands the last few years and figured out it isn't worth it. They don't last, they don't repair well, and they don't recap. When we were running a lot of them, it was because we needed to save every penny we could, and we still do, but the truth was that they cost more in the long run.
  14. Seems like they were out in full force yesterday too. Now you have time to work on your truck.
  15. We have a 97' CH E-7 400 hp , has had a lot of drivers thru it and never been overhauled yet at 1.29 million miles.
  16. It's a double eagle sleeper, Dad put it on there shortly after buying the truck. I've been told not to buy any more antiques.
  17. 2 day cabs (one has dual straight stacks), and the one sleeper
  18. Yeah that was me going thru Elburn. No ready mix out of our plant today, so I got to get out and see some country.
  19. We bought 2 used CH's from them when they were still in Bettendorf. They were great to deal with then.
  20. We have had a bunch of tanks this year that needed to be repaired behind the straps.
