  1. I'm not a Deere guy at heart but, those 44?? are like a good Mack. They just keep going and going. -Brad
  2. I really like the looks of the Metro-Liner form down under. I would take one of them with an MP-7 and an M-Drive. - Brad.
  3. There's one running around Chicagoland pulling a lowboy. -Brad
  4. I saw this on there the other day, and it pisses me off because it is almost in my back yard. Yet I have never seen this truck. When it comes to old Macks I am usually very alert to there whereabouts. -Brad
  5. Otherdog saves the day! -Brad
  6. I have been out to Roy's. They run a top notch operation. -Brad
  7. I tried that. Hurt my head. -Brad
  8. Maybe someone here can help? When I select the picture to post, it is right side up. Then after it loads, it's up side down. What gives?-Brad
  9. The rain took care of the snow. It was a good day to be working. Had my foot in the dog's ass hard today. Between that and the cold only pulled 4.95 MPG. - Brad
  10. Real sorry about the upside down pic. The I-pad keeps doing that. -Brad
  11. I-80 west bound between Ottawa and Utica this afternoon passing a speed bump. Now if I could turn the clock back 40 years and see a Circus Wagon closing in on me. -Brad
  12. I agree for the for the most part. The new Macks, despite thier Volvo tendencies, still have a better fit and finish to them as far air lines and wire harnesses than any other class 8 truck. Of coarse, that is my opinion, and we all know what they say abut those. -Brad
  13. Took my boys and my brothers to Clinton IA Saturday to an auction treen to buy a R Model. We did not succeed. It went for $9500 and had a busted trunion. There was also a non running 76' RS that went for $2500 and the cab was in real bad shape. I did find these 2 trucks on a side street and thought I would share . They both appear to still be in use. -Brad
  14. I am diggin the "Cain Farms". Where did you find that one? -Brad
  15. Thanks Brian. I didn't leave Marengo today so I couldn't do my part. Maybe tomorrow. -Brad
  16. Thank you Barry. I was hoping you would come in like a knight driving a polished Mack. I normally do not offend easily, but I was put off by the thread in question, and I can put it behind me. Thanks again. -Brad
  17. Al, do you have any pictures of Rusty's 700? -Brad
  18. After the behavior of a few members in this thread, it is not a big surprise that people have went missing from this site.-Brad
  19. What This is amazing ! I am asked to leave this little corner of the inter web because of business I conduct, that is legal, to make money to support my family. Maybe your comment was funny to you, but it is not to me. I have been a member here since 2005. I look forward to coming here and seeing what my Mack buddies are up to. I have met many people here, many have become friends. Some of the members here were my friends first, and became a member. I find it hard to believe that many of you on here do not realize that Mack trucks are used world wide. That is a compliment of the highest degree. How many times have you heard "Bulldog Tough" or "Built like a Mack truck"? Mack trucks are known the world over for being the best work truck you can get. There is a fella from Nigeria that I have sold many trucks to. He's a great Catholic, Christian who runs a trucking business over there, not much different from the one we run here. He has been to our place many times and we always enjoy talking Macks. At the end of the day, we both want the same things, and they are to serve our lord, support our families, and drive BIG MACK TRUCKS. To the few closed mined people here, you can eat the dust my tires kick up, because you are not going to chase me off that easily. -Brad
  20. For the majority of the work we do, if I were to buy a new truck it would most certainly be a MP7 with a M-Drive. I will more than likely never see a "new" truck, but our drivers will. -Brad
  21. I am ashamed, and embarrassed at how everyone has acted in this thread. I have sold many Macks to exporters over the years. I wasn't aware that it made me a bad person. Live and learn. -Brad
  22. I have sold many trucks (mostly Macks) to buyers who have ethnic heritage all over the globe. The common thing among the Mack buyers is there love and respect of the dependability, durability, and efficient operation of Mack trucks. The sad thing really is that the people of this country don't do the same. When I buy and sell trucks, I try to resell the good ones to USA buyers who will keep them state side and work them here. I sell the crumby ones to the exporters because they normally will pay just as much for a crumby one as a good one. There are times when even the good ones end up on a boat ride. As far as I am concerned, exporting to be worked is better than being melted down and sent to China. If I had any trucks, and/or parts for sale I would let everyone here know first. Welcome Mr. Estrada! - Brad
  23. Still getting the hang of the I-pad. -Brad
  24. Check the mirror. Got passed by Hurreta Transport about an hour ago getting on the Elgin-O'hare expressway. -Brad
  25. 7 years ago? I put in a Kenwood head, replaced the stock speakers in the rear top corners, and had 2 6x9's in boxes on the floor. It would BUMP. I took the 6x9's out a couple years ago because I needed some more room in the cab. It still sounds good. There ain't nothing better than some good loud tunes, an early morning load, light traffic and a clean Mack truck. Wait a minute, that's what I plan on doing in the morning. Truck will be dirty before I get out of Marengo if the roads don't dry off.-Brad
