  1. We are based out of Northern Illinois area. We have been running B11 in our trucks for 2 years. We have all Macks, ranging in years from 1976 to 2006. We have not had any problems at all with it. In the winter we do back it down to 2% and run a winter blend. Thanks, Brad
  2. This comes after our tolls went up 300% 4 years ago. Welcome to the Peoples Republic of Illinois!
  3. I heard that the engine will be one of International's MAXXFORCE engines. Brad
  4. I was telling one of our drivers that Cat would not be building truck engines any more, and I thought he was gonna cry! There goes his dream of a Kitty Kat under the hood of a 379. Poor guys dreams are shattered. Brad
  5. Granite Fan.... Are you not going to vote for any Republicans, because you are not voting at all??? Most people consider myself to be a republican, but I don't. I told a survey lady on the phone the other night that I am a Conservitive first, Republican second. She told me that, that was not an option for the survey. I do not understand what is wrong with upholding strong ethics, strong morals, fiscal responsibility, individual liberties, and the Constitution that gives our government it's foundation. thanks, Brad P.S. Check out our home made signs...
  6. I need a good used take out. I guess you could say we are on a budget. Thanks, Brad
  7. I am in need of a T-2090 trans. Looking to get one that is ready to go into a truck. I am located in the Chicagoland area. thanks, Brad
  8. This weekend October, 4 and 5, there will be the Tractors for Charity show in Mchenry, il. the show is held at the Peterson Farm ,on McCullom Lake rd. We will be taking 3 trucks and 3 tractors. I know the gentleman that puts the show together and he would think it's great if you brought what ever you have that has an engine on it. The more the merrier. Hope to see some of you guys there. Thanks, Brad tractors for charity
  9. Thats's a bad day.
  10. The visor on my RD came from JP chrome. It is a decent visor, but I asked when I ordered it if it had the same amount of drop as does the CH visor. They said it did, but it does not. Check it out in my Gallery. There also is a guy in Michigan that will custom build stainless visors. Hope this helps. Thanks, Brad
  11. My Dad had Double Eagle "recondition" a 36" for his 87' R model, and had them install it. The seal you are speaking of only lasted a few years, and they were of no help in coming up with a replacement one. We thought that bellows type would be best , but we could not find one the right size. The quality of their "recondition" was piss poor. They forgot about all the sleepers they put on R models back in the day. It seems to me they only want to deal with show trucks. Thanks, Brad
  12. My dad had one in a Crusie Liner back in the day. Multi speed reverse, spiltable gears. He really liked it. I haven't seen one since. I think it would be a fine trans for behind 237. Brad
  13. Trent, He did just fine. I thanked him for helping us out, and he thanked me because he had never driven a B' before. So everyone was a winner. later, Brad
  14. Thanks for the kind words, Dave. Glad to hear that you made it. I just hope you weren't disapointed. To bad we didn't get to meet. Maybe at the next show. Thanks, Brad
  15. This show is a good one. If it has an engine and wheels it will probably be there. I am going to try to get our trucks over there. If any one has questions, e mail me and I will try to answer them. Thanks, Brad
  16. My Dad's 87' R690 has that set up with the fuel/water seperator. thanks, Brad
  17. Boring? I think not! The thought of a Buzzin' Dozen in a Mack will give me sweet dreams tonight. Good Luck Rob, and keep us posted. Thanks, Brad
  18. We have a couple Mack CH's with a million miles on them. The one has only had rod and main bearings a few times. It uses about a gallon of oil between changes and still gets 5.5 - 6.0 mpgs. It runs decent (won't snap your neck), but it goes every day. I don't think you could ask for much more than that. Thanks, Brad
  19. Warpman, We have orange and white macks. I drive 43, It's an RD. There are pictures of it in my Gallery. Thanks, Brad
  20. 94' RD, 300 hp, 13 sp, 3.63 gears ......Today I got 6.4 mpg hauling drywall on my flatbed. I normally get 5.5 to 6.0 mpg. I tried a different driving style though after reading an article on fuel mileage. I am going to try it again on monday, and I will let you guys now how it worked out. Hey Warpman I saw you out and about the other day. Once in Plainfield. and then in Marengo one afternoon. That's a pretty straight looking R model you have. See ya around. Brad
  21. Those pipes were maid be Riker (sp). They are not available any more as far as I know. They were a must have on all of our R models with 4 inch exhaust. We even have a few CH's and a Granite with 5 inch exhaust that also have that pipe. We call them "Big Curl" pipes because they have a bigger curl than your average pipe. The last one I was able to get was for my RD(5 inch). I waited for it for 2 months. They are the best looking pipes and have a "retro" look. Thanks for noticing. Brad
