  11. Randy It took me a minute but i found the Youtube video for the Golden Tool Demount & mount tool we use @ work . here's the video. hope this helps
  12. Rowdy i know exactly what your saying there ive been in those kinda mudholes in soybean fields before when my family used to farm . we also had farmroads on the farm that were similar to what your talking about . looks can be deceving . Later

  15. lmao
  16. I've got both of these videos in my favorites in youtube. the lil GM 1TON W/ Screamin Jimmy 6v53 reminds me of our old 82' GMC Brigadier S/A Fuel/Lube Tuck . it had a 6V53 W/ A 5&2 TRANNY & pto driven air compressor to run the grease pump,Antifreeze pumps etc I Loved working w/ that ole Jimmy just cause that 6V53 Detroit. here's a video pretty much how my 85' c-20 sounded w/ the 453t but i had an automatic in mine this GM Has a 4& 2 spd tranny behind this 453t Later
  17. Thats sounds too heavy for a pick up. but then again i seen in Petersens 4wd magazine some years ago a guy shoehorned a 238 detroit & 13spd in a 79' F250 4WD . LITTLE BIT Of a over kill if ya ask me .
  18. THE PROBLEM IS MOST OF THEM HAVE "LARGE CAR FEVER" !! & never been or around a Mack & dont know anything about them & hadn't had the chance to learn about them . then again some just dont care for a period & Wouldn't know a good on/off road truck if it hit em (pun intended. ) you can take some drivers that have never drove anything but a road ranger put them in a : & they ask how the hell do i shift this transmission . i wish i had $0.50 for every non driver i have taught how to drive a duplex, triplex, quadbox or 200 or 300 series mack airshift transmission. even over the CB i tell em quit your bitching & drive your still making $$ it could be worse you could have your ass @ home looking @ 4 walls. Personally i think some drivers are scared of a Bulldog cause they're a little different from the rest. me i was raised on the 2 stick & when my pop bought a White w/ a 9spd road ranger i was lost as a goose lol . Got a buddy of mine who OWNS NOTHING BUT CORN BINDERS & K Whoppers tri axle dump buckets & tandem tractors w/ dump trailers . he owns 16 trucks. HE TOLD ME SOME YEARS AGO " ILL NEVER OWN A GD FING RAGGED MFING MACK!" he needed another Truck this past summer well he goes truck shopping he goes & buys a 1998 CL713 TRIAXLE DUMP W/ A E7 460 & 8SPD MULTI REVERSE TRANSMISSION& 16' BED . The salesman knew my buddy since they were kids he tells my buddy you better have somebody come drive this truck home WHO KNOWS HOW TO DRIVE IT. He had to get 1 of 2 drivers that works for him that owned R Models in the past come drive it home He couldn't drive it lmao. i havent let him forget what he said so many years ago to me & i'm rubbing in his face every chance i get That bulldog looks like a redheaded stepchild on his place in line w/ the IH & KW BUT IT LOOKS DAMN GOOD TO ME . Later
  19. Nice trucks BUT Dadgum it id like to have a B 80 SERIES BUT Every time i seen 1 fer sale its up North . would like to find 1 close to home . later
  20. I Take a Vacation from BMT THANKS TO MY LAST COMPUTER & You fellas just have a party w/o me lmao. Leave it up to a bunch of truck driver, mechanics & heavy equipment operators to make a series of shorts like that thats some funny stuff . which 1 of yall is the next Adam Sandler & Steven Spillberg lol ? Rob's right It's amazing randy anit seen this therd yet . & as far as the girl is concerned i wonder if she is a diesel mechanic cause this ole 75' Model needs some TLC & Would'nt mind pulling up in her shop . Later yall
  21. Nice Find The ole B Model looks to be in good shape . Looks like 44k or bigger axles . looks like cones on the end of the axles. later aka Bulldog Man on BMT .
  22. I Had a 85' 3/4 ton Chevy pick up i bought it when i was 15 yrs old ran it 2 weeks the 350 locked up (my dads buddy who had his own car lot said the company that traded in bought in smoking & he though the motor was gonna go @ anytime so i bought the truck for $500.00 ) I Went to G&W Diesel down in Memphis they had a 453T W/ GM BELLHOUSING FRESH IN THE CRATE. I bought it put it in put 5" stright pipes on it coming out under the bed @ an angle.. I Had a 400 turbo behind it . i was gear bound @ 61mph but i hauled scrap iron , wood, w/ it when i was a teenager. then in my 20's i made a service truck out it w/ a 250 gallon diesel tank, Snap-On Road Chest tool box Kellog air compressor & wheel well box for my tire irons & 1" impact gun . That ole chevy was loaded but that lil 453 would talk carrying all that load & sounded good doing it . i owned that truck till i was 29yrs old. a man offered $8,000.00 for it ( just the truck ) i took it. wish i had it back now. that was my 1st truck i loved that ole BOWTIE IT MADE ME ALOT OF MONEY . & LOOKED & SOUNED GOOD DOING IT. Ya & thats another reason why i like a detroit is the fuel system . Later aka Bulldog Man on BMT
  23. I Like it too . But im partial to a Jimmy . We ran GMC Brigadier ,General , 9500 & a k3500 4wd. in the family excavating business along side of our R DM & B Model 1 Thing i love to hear was the 2 671 (238) Screamin Jimmy Detroit Diesel 's LOPE On a cold winter morning till they warmed up. & i knew when that 74' S/A 9500 Lowboy & 85' Triaxle Brigadier was coming back to the Farm or the excavating job you hear those ole 238's screaming over a D6D LGP Dozer we had . ANIT NOTHING GONNA DUPLICATE THE SOUND OF A 238! The 83' General we had had a NTC 400 BC Cummins in it . MY Family always said The ole GMC 9500 Brigadier & General was a good dependable cheap work truck . maybe thats why im partial to a 9500 Brigadier & General to this day . Later
  24. Thanks Tom it's good to be back . I Had'nt herd from either of yall in so long i thought i was gonna have to make a trip to East Tn, then VA LOL . Tried to call Joe a while back never got an anwser back. i was wandering if he went back to Potter's or not . he was talking about it last time i talked to him. I Guess that road is like any other part of trucking it gets in your blood & ya can't get it out . Rob : my grandparents on my dads side that raised me always like the little dime stores & my grandma was always either in TC&Y,Fred's or Dollar General. & ya i remember my great Aunt telling me 1 time thats how sam walton started Wal Mart as a five & dime . As far as the old Powder plant they never done anything with it but 1 thing is for sure THOSE SMOKE STACKS ARE STILL STANDING ! Been told by a old friend of my dads he climbed up to the very top of 1 of the stacks & you could see the Ms River @ Shelby Forrest JackSon Hill Boat Ramp FROM UP THERE . Itold him there was no way in Hell i was climing way up there . They finally cleaned up the old PulVair Plant on Big Creek Church rd up . man that fertlizer plant slowly killed so many animals,Fish & Humans over time . there is nothing there but an empty lot beside the I.C/CN RR Track now . later
  25. When my Pop was alive that's the way we used to seat our 11R22.5 tires . Ether will work but man the overkill sometimes.... Man i was glad to learn about a cheetah tank bout 12 yrs ago . when the man i work for now bought it out to our place to mount some tires on our I THOUGHT THATCHEETAH TANK WAS THE BEST THING SINCE SLICED BREAD . Now i wouldnt seat a bead w/o one unless i was just having a hell of a time seating the bead. & tire soap or grease would'nt work i'll still go back to the starting fluid method IF I NEED TOO . . Later yall
