i saw an old timer do it when i was a kid. me and a cousin were to buzzy grabassing as my uncle would say, i do remember looking at the linner when it was out, it had two very wide passes on it, oposing sides. don't know the heat or anything. just remember hearing you boys need to pay attention to whats going on here. i had carried a bag of ice to him remember as soon as he raised his welding hood i handed him the bag of ice, got ass chewed for not having it opened, about a minute later he pulled the linner by hand and threw it on the ground. lots of cheeres because they had been working on it for a few days, befor asking this guy to help.... the old guys name was lucine finch, long past.....

in MO. in the heavy zone you are allowed 22,400 lbs per axle always carried around 80 psi. on my 3rd axle never had any problems, but you can't ride around smoking pot and blaring the radio, while grossing 96,000 lbs. i allways tryed to keep it under 110,000 on a straight truck. you have to pay attention at all times. i hate steerable, they will f#$k you up trying to back up in the soft stuff. as son as they touch anything they turn sidways and dig in. i don't think they make a 22,000 steerable...

if it was mine i would replace frame rails or get rid of the truck........... just my opinion........

jerryb has been fighting his 04 cx longer than anybody i know, we had sister trucks for a while, i gave up and bought a newer truck. he refuses to give up. havn't seen him on here in a while. i will try giving him a call...... he had a glitch in his truck, it did not throw a code when he blocked it..... if you are willing we have been disscussing a partial block, a plate with a half inch hole in it.. you cannot drive the EGR motor like the older macks, must never pull them bellow 1,400 rpm's. i never pull mine below 1,500 rpm.

surf this site, mostly modern mack trucks forum. anything that starts with, EGR or 2004 or coolant push... i had a 2004 cx. i have a few friends with 2004-05 cx. contact me for help.... driving habits can crack an egr cooler in as little as 8,000 miles or less... if you have a 2004 cx you are gona want to make this site your home page.... it would help you, and help the guys on here that will be helping you, if you have your dealer run your VIN number, and print out all the repairs and upgrades that your truck has. if you try running your truck, and just adding coolant, it will kill mass flo tube another $1,200.00 bucks. also danger of hydro locking engine. i learned the hard way, any time you add coolant to that truck, find out why........

i have looked at this truck on truckpaper a few times in the last month thinking i would rather have it than mine for the price difference. but the red frame would be the first thing to go. black only for me....

i get the red x sometimes also, but ussually i can klick on the red x and get the picture

i went on one trip with a reffer,it would be a daily struggle to not beat someone to death... i would rather tarp in a snowstorm, than put up with the people around that industry
