  1. i drove a truck like yours for 3 years pulling a 24ft. dump trailer and did okay, only tumped over once.was actually easier to get around in the city than a quad axle
  2. converted tractors are just that, not dump trucks. to much frame flex i think you have a very nice tractor, it would be a shame to ruin it, and still need a dump truck. if you stretch it, then it's stretched. no good can come of that. if you don't stretch it, there will be to much tail. it will look goofy, drive even goofier, because you can never get enough weight forward. and then you have the exhaust thing. if you have been around dump trucks a lot you have stood with your friends, shook your head, and laughed at goof balls with converted tractors. just my honest opinion, no ridicule intended.
  3. have you got any connections around pueblo,Co.????????? i can't find anything but no payin hay. i allways get suckered into going out here for $2.20 a mile thinking i gota get lucky once in a while, as useual here i set fueled and showered with no place to go.........

  8. i dont know whats up with my turbo but im not going to complain, in Wy. andUt. when it would idle for 8 hrs. it would look like it was on fire when i took off. maybe it was altitude???????? maybe fresh rotela???????????? it seems to be doing fine.
  9. i got a good picture of an LT with a sleeper, on my post for LT pictures
  10. i would be just fine if nobody reminded me of that for the rest of my life.
  11. If this poster does the modifications that he is talking about - changing over to a V8 engine, the large sleeper, custom paint job will wind up well in excess of 50K.
  12. here's one im a mack guy so when it comes to the large car look, nothing compares to the LT
  13. im off like a herd of turtles to pueblo,co. gona have the wife take it to a commercial refrigeration biz. see if they can put a 110 volt comp. on it. if not i will try gambi part guy in chicago. when i leave co. im headed for mackpro, if she don't have any luck with the old one, i might try to have a new one meet me there. i miss the good olday,s when all you needed was a map and a cb radio, and your trash bag only had to be big enough for 4 empty cig packs
  14. thanks for the info. just checked it out, no deals, every thing to wide. cabinet openings are 10 1/2" wide 18 1/2" deep 30 3/4" tall
  15. who has LT pictures????????????? thanks in advance.
  16. you will find some fine LT pictures in the gallery's on BMT you might have to post to find them, it's deffinetly worth a look.
  17. they still make trucks like that. this is that R model's daughter. this is just an opinion but i think you are comparing the wrong mack to the A model. Have you looked at an LT model mack???? i think that would be apple to apple
  18. this fridge has it's own power inverter. next to the 12 volt plug it has 10 amp fuses, one on both pos. and neg. but has no relay after that. 12 volt goes into inverter, 12 volt comes out for fan, 110 volt comes out to compressor, wich is the size of a one litter bottle.
  19. if you do not see the difference in these two pictures, you wouldn't understand
  20. the birth on my rawhide is very small, the fridge is 18"w 32"t 18"d all i have seen are very sparse, shirt closet and fridge. no shelves. i took the shelves out of my vision and cut 8" off to fit the ch
  21. i need to find a repairman instead of a parts changer............
  22. that is what i had in mind, i removed fridge, took it to local rv dealer. when i got the bad news i asked about puting a compressor in the jocky box and running lines to the fridge. they said that would cost more than a new fridge????????????????????????????????
  23. i have a 3,000 watt inverter in the jockey box, all it runs is laptop, printer and coffee pot 20 oz. i thought i would have plenty in reserve for a fridge, especially if i unpluged fridge before making coffee.
