at 404,000 miles it had new egr and all gaskets ,new turbo and studs,egr cooler,manifold,coolant tank,over flow tank,replace syncro, and water pump

va.truck center just sent me the history on this truck 40 pages i dont know if its good or bad almost every thing on this truck has been replaced, i cant tell if this truck was a lemon pos or the guy was just nuts and put the truck in the shop every week, for instance rear oil seal leaking,replaced oil seal ,turned flywheel,new clutch,pp,release bearing,new fork,new cable,new yoke on back of trany,new linkige on clutch release,and so on, every repair on this truck reads like this.

going crazy if this truck gets 5mpg and a new truck gets 8mpg and i run 10,000 miles a month thats $2,300 difference in fuel

called roanoke truck center, got ahold of warrenty person, pestered him for about half hour thats all he had time for. as for the mpg, i dont know, i am going to try to get ahold of previos owner, find out if truck was run on short hauls, how fast was it driven, road speed and cruse speed set to 88 mph? turbo and studs replaced in dec,08.

checked what i could. late in 08 turbo,manifold studs,egr cooler,syncroniser in trans. at 413,000 should i be wooried about camshaft

called to recheck some things it has 11r22.5 not 24.5 , acording to the vip 136,000 mile trip showed 5.36 mpg. guy still hasnt told me how much difference he wants,guess ill find out in the morning.

some trucks have a computer in the dash instead of the cubby hole. what are its functions,does it have anything to do with operations of truck? will everthing operate if there is a problem with it?

called f@c this morning gave them vin# they told me 18 speed and 394 gears and that it was a ac460-p but could tell me nothing else

i usually run 60/65 try to get best fuel millage i can. that mite be part of the problem with the 04 ,didnt run it hard enough.
