  1. I think I found what you are looking for. Click "My Controls", Under "Menu" go to "Options" "E Mail Settings", Under "Welcome to your control panel", "Board preference", click on last box "Enable Email notification by default" and choose your preference. Hope this wasn't confusing, John
  2. I'm thinking it is a quad-box. Lo-Lo is up top to the left, a gear he would not be using starting off, unless the load, or terrain dictated otherwise.
  3. You hit the spammer right on the head. I was just reading Rec.Gambling Poker (usenet) and came across the exact same post. Could it be that there are others in this world that enjoy both trucks and poker? John
  4. Hi MACKS, I also work construction on Long Island. Wonder if we ever worked together. Who do you do truck hire for? John my sig picture is not my current ride
  5. Beautiful Truck. I have a feeling Thaddeus is going to like this one.
  6. Thad, The F-900's that Certified Industries concrete mixers had, had a 5 X 2, with reverse on the hi-lo stick. Guess that would be a duplex.
  7. Does anyone remember pictures of a big M Model Mack from New York that was in mint condition...it was red and white. I think the owner was Gerosa Const or something like that? I am looking for some pics of their trucks. I would appreciate any contact info or photos if you have them... Barry, I think this may be what you are looking for:http://www.hankstruckpictures.com/mark_simiele02.htm
  8. Page worked fine for me at 1:40pm
  9. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. These trucks ran on 14:00/24 rubber, double studded on the wheel spokes. They were nearly overweight running empty, with its' I-Beam chassis and its' large concrete carrying capacity. It was powered by a 237, with a 5X2 tranny with reverse on the hi-lo stick. Later, John
  10. Found 2 images on other sites. 1 is the real deal, the other is a great model of the H-81. I don't recall any H-81 mixers in NYC, probably before my time. http://www.hankstruckpictures.com/pix/truc.../june/h81_1.jpg http://www.davestrucks.com/pages/h81sx.html
  11. They sure did stand out. These F-900s' are all but gone. Sure wish I had taken more pictures of them. I believe they wound up out of the country. There may be 1 or 2 in Queens at another ready-mix company. I remember Scaccia and F&M had a few of these. They were a trip to drive, especially through the Queens-Midtown Tunnel or over the Williamsburg Bridge where you had to take up 2 lanes. You are right, memories! and good times there. Glad you enjoyed. John (Sneakers)
  12. Happy New Year all. I joined the site a few weeks ago. Just getting around to say hi. I have been driving construction equipment for almost 27 years. My time driving has been in New York City and on Long Island. I posted a few pictures in the gallery. The F-900 that is attached was the first truck I drove (legally). For the first 15 years I drove concrete mixers, for the later I have been driving dump trucks. I enjoy the site and can feel the passion that the members have for their trucks. John
