  1. Ditto here,Rebel & Mark!
  2. My uncle drove a Powerliner with the standard NTC-400 in it.Was a nice tractor.Had Freightliner 4 spring on it and a 180" wb.Rode like a baby carriage! Kind of a waste with just the 400 in it.For all intensive purposes,a standard FLA,would have been a better choice.Parts were hard to get, even at your local Freightshaker dealer. They stocked parts for your standard FLA's,but not too much for the FLP's.I would hate to try to find a bumper for one of those things, now! Al
  3. No mercy for theives! You're right, run 'em down!
  4. Welcome,Brian.It's about damn time!
  5. Military (Air Force,I think).......Had a KTA-600 Cum-a-long in it!
  6. Ken,I have a picture somewhere of Hendrickson with a set-forward front axle (rare as the cabover). It kinda looks like a IH "Westcoaster",I'll have to dig that one up.Yes,they must have invented the set-back,or at least was the biggest user of the concept.
  7. Nice!.........and the truck doesn't look too bad either,Jake!
  8. How about this SEXY Oshkosh cabinover!!
  9. She was unavailable as she was in jail, right after being arrested for trespassing!
  10. Yeah, what are we talkin' here 211 (711) or 205 (T673) horsepower at the most in a B-61? Did a good job at that time.Beat the hell out of the gas burners!
  11. Paul, I'm sorry for you and your family that this event ever happened. The kid doesn't realize how much shit he created, for the whole family. I have told my kids (among other rules),if you get thrown in jail, don't call me (or your mother) we'll just let you sit there and think about it.All you can do is hope you can steer them in the right direction, you know?
  12. More Henri's..... All Hendricksons in the last 2 pics, are owned by Dan Pegram (along with the green/red Diamond T flatbed)
  13. Your Chicago area R Model of the day belongs to... The former Commodity Transit. This one is nicknamed "Deputy Dog" Brian Dhamer photo
  14. Wow! It kinda looks like a early FWD cabover.Cool picture, ugly truck Al
  15. That was kinda pre-mullet time (1974),Mike.Maybe I started a trend LOL!!! ........NOT! What a dufus!!
  16. Hey this one (1958 H-67) was pretty damn tall to me! Course,I was just a wee lad of 13 at the time! She was my first love........well,kinda........you know what I mean! Don't remember my hair being that long, though.
  17. Here's a shot of one that a buddy of mine leased while his RS600 was being worked on.It had a E7-400 in it.Mike Dhamer (shown in picture) said it would really run! It had been ordered by an O/O,but the guy lost it.Our local MACK dealer put it in their lease fleet.
  18. Another shot of that yellow & black RD,when it was ready for work..
  19. It is a beauty.Seen it at Walcott a few years back.Liked the Mercury bunk and the look from it's OVERDRIVE cover & spread in June of '76, better though.Hey,after 2.5 million miles in a B model,he can do what ever he wants to it! I bet your father-in-law felt like he was in "high cotton" with 250hp & power steering!
  20. I'm thinking about mounting a 60" +, tall sleeper on my little lowboy.Just so I got a place to catch some shut-eye at those over night shows.Usually, you can pick 'em up fairly cheap. Not much call for 'em when there used. They do make a dandy ice fishing shanty,so I've been told!
  21. I like the period correct improvements, but I am not opposed to preserving a restoration with say an air ride suspension set up,but keeping the original look.......my 2 cents!
  22. Better cover that entry way, otherwise that nice bedroom is going to be a condo for rodents, coons, etc!
  23. Almost forgot! Here is your Chicago area R model of the day.. Stark Service's RS Dump!
  24. Thank for your service to OUR country!
  25. Interesting to say the least. Thanks for sharing this information with us.Being that the last year of the H was '62 and the first year of the F was '62,that maybe a spec that was overlapped from the H to the F.Thats what so great about this forum, you learn something every day!
