  1. I got one for my truck through a PAI dealer in the area.Sorry, don't have a part # for you.
  2. Yes it is,Mark!! Cum-A-Part!! & Thank you!!
  3. Matt Pfahl's B has a Super-Liner front axle under it,and it doesn't look too bad.
  4. Ha,Ha! When I went to our local Mack dealer for parts (for the BCR),the guy at the counter new nothing of the BCR kit and told me they should have made a RCB kit to convert R's into B's! Seriously folks, there was a honey wagon at Macungie a few years back that was a B mounted on an R chassis, I believe. It was on eBay a while ago, and it had ended up in Californy,I think?. Kevin All did one HELL of a job on that B-75 he sold to Kevin Stark. That one is built on a newer chassis,I don't know what model it was on though.
  5. Thats cool! I like the diamond-shape cut out in the bumper..........must be the high performance model!! No,really that is a nice H model.
  6. Your Chicago R-model of the day is: .........Boughton Materials
  7. I don't stray too far from my MACK,but when I do,its in my '70 KW K-125
  8. Yes,Happy Birthday,Herby
  9. Whew!! Leslie, you must be livin' right! Around here,in the "Corruption State" ,you would have had 3 State Troopers,2 locals,at least 1 county mountie & 2 wreckers and the guy with the tractor would be told to get lost by the authorities! Glad you got out of that one without too much trouble!
  10. Thanks,Vin.Some of these shots weren't pre-planned,so a bunch of these guys didn't give their trucks a bath before the pictures!
  11. Your Chicago R Model of the day is: Owl Cartage
  12. Bob,let me check with a friend of mine.He has a '65 R607ST that he put a 237 & a quad box years ago. He put a larger radiator in a few years back. And I think he still has those "dummy" shutter side moldings in his shop.I have a spare grill opening trim somewhere. Al
  13. Yes, the highbacks seem to take their toll on R-model upholstery. My truck was ordered with the low back ElDorado in cloth.I replaced my shocks religiously after I installed the urethane insulators/centers.Before that, they wouldn't last.Too much walk (side to side).
  14. Very little chrome,yet nice.I agree,Jim!
  15. That early R wrecker has the RARE swing down grille guard on it.They were too wide for the grill opening,so they were hinged (had to drop that first!).That B sleeper cab & Great Dane would make a cool combo!
  16. Yes,Trent & Brad the January 2013 NWIC-ATHS meeting will be at the "Storkshop" on the 19th.And if you drive a "Brand X" truck there, it could end up like this!
  17. Real trucks DO have 2 sticks,ya know?
  18. Here are some pics of an older R converted to a sort of a mini Super-Liner.I like to call it a R C RWS (in B C R fashion): Different strokes, for different folks!
  19. And your Chicago R-Model of the day is:....................well I guess this outfit(Wanatah) was based in b61 mack's(Ron's) territory(Indiana),They were house trucks for Vulcan Materials and spent alot of time around the Chicago area
  20. I did see at Hribar Truck & Equipment(Racine,Wis) an early R 600 with an NH-220 installed by Cummins. They "tastefully" modified the hood adding what equaled an RB nose to the standard R hood,to clear the engine and mount a taller than normal radiator in it.It was nicely done.I didn't have my camera along that day.Called a couple weeks later and the woman there told me it had been cut up.Crap!!! It was "barn fresh" Had a triplex, underslung camelback,a Bostrom Viking T-Bar seat (not torn) & a 23 channel C.B. in it.!
  21. You know it,Trent! Easy fixes you could do yourself! Now you'd need a laptop(electronic motors) if she went to full throttle on ya!
  22. Ha,Ha!! I had a spare throttle spring in my tool box too! Nothing to make a few on-the-spot corrections during the day and drive on!
