  1. You bet! Glad to help! Hope you heal,Ernie. With my skills (or lack thereof),I'm better off buying them also! Good Luck!
  2. Kickback?..........Hmmmmmmmmmm? You must be from Illinois!!!!
  3. Hear ya,sounds like a cool project for sure.Yeah, I know I shouldn't have said anything! I'm bad at letting people that have enough projects, know about stuff they just can't live without!
  4. Thanks for the idea,Joe! I was thinking of that the other day.Had one of those kits in my first truck('67 F-100) bought it from J.C. Whitney. A good quality one such as a Hurst would probably have good solid detents in it,wouldn't it? Yeah the rods would just have to be longer.Have to make all that anyway in the custom applicaion it's going in.Thanks again, for the comeback
  5. You got that right! It would be easy to recreate the stars with todays laser cut vinyl! Either using them as a stencil or just using them by themselves, you know? I think it would look cool.Oh by the way there is a RS785LST parked where the sleeper is! I don't know why I didn't mention it before,DUH??? It must be a '73 or '74.Has the rib down the center of the hood(later right?) Cab is toast but everything else is pretty straight.
  6. The listing says they're for '65-'73.Yes they are just a little bit pricey, but you won't go to the hospital while trying to beat them out of sheet metal!!
  7. Matt Pfahl asked me a couple years ago at Macungie,"why hasn't anyone painted a MACK like that, again?" I said "good question"!
  8. Bullhusk, they are available on e-bay through American Muscle Car Parts $134.88 R or L! e-Bay name: ammuscle
  9. 10-4! I will get to it in the morning if thats ok? Uh oh,Rob probably won't get any sleep tonight! It was given it in 1970 or 71 by Bob Celli (Gene's cousin). It's cover is a little worn, but in good shape!
  10. Rob, do you have the "Stars & Stripes" western R brochure? Was one of the first I got, when I started my collection.I can scan it for ya!
  11. 69? Maybe his title is! We have a MR tractor at work,250 Maxi-2 stick 6 speed that pulled dump and redi-mix wagons. Was not in bad shape untill the little rodents from a neighboring subdivision came over and busted all the glass out of it!
  12. I got a '67 35' Wisconsin Fastback tilt bed low boy you can borrow Vinny! I should have done about the time you get your permit!
  13. Yeah, looked like the wagon wanted to keep goin' after the truck went sideways! Whew! I almost had to change my shorts, just looking at it!
  14. I agree,Mike.The 600's didn't make it past '67 according to Mr. Montville's book.
  15. OUCH!! That's interesting,Umodel! Haven't been to the site in a while.I'll have to check it out.Thanks!
  16. The old tube type are getting harder to find for sure! Tubeless rubber is so much more advanced and trouble free its not even funny! The only downside is the looks of the wheel vs. tube type wheels, when your looking for that nostalgic look. But the safety and piece of mind, far outweigh any look in my book!
  17. I think Umodel's trying to corner the market! He might have something there!
  18. David,it does look like the KW "gull wing" bumper. I don't even like those on KW's!
  19. That truck would look better, with ME behind the wheel! But,this driver carries no cash!
  20. Brad Wikes is doing the work isn't he,Joe? In fact I think thats him in pics! I've only seen him on movies and TV! ..... Al
  21. Jack Hess had that one for a little while. You can bet anything Jerry Howard gets a hold of, will always look nice as (or better than) when the last guy had it!
  22. "Hey Rocky, watch me put my antlers in this guys radiator"
  23. 10-4! I did see most of them on I-65 in Indiana,so who knows? I remember them well, because that was my first sighting of a B with an integral sleeper.10-4, on that Harbison wing at the museum!
  24. I know how you feel.I had what was left of an EQ and an A-51T parked at an asphalt plant in our area. The land manager said I could leave it there long as I wanted. One day another trucker said,"I see you got that one truck out of there, huh?" I asked him ,"what truck?"Turned out #2 man at the yard(that they leased from the land manager) said he was getting tired of looking at it and called the scrapper.I told he had no business scrapping something that wasn't his.He wasn't too concerned.I got ahold of the scrapper and told him all the stuff that I wanted off of the truck ( I was going to cut it up anyway, but at my leisure) and if he didn't return the items,I was calling the authorities! He promptly brought back every part that I wanted off of the truck, the next day! I got everything I needed and then some.It still made me mad that someone who had no business calling the scrapper on me,decided the fate of one of my trucks! I hope you get 'er back,Pardo.Nobody deserves that!
