  1. That is cool,Paul. P.I.E. was not a big Mack customer, although they buy the BULLDOG,from time to time. I recall them using FL cabovers in the '60's. Al .
  2. I had heard Doetsch Bros. had a B,but I never seen it. Now I can say I did! Thanks for posting,Brian. Al

  4. Well guys, its been awhile since I took any pics of the '88. Been tinkerin' now and then. Lot of improvements are not seen, since they are under the hood and what not. Here is what it looks like today. More to follow soon, hopefully. Al
  5. Interesting,to say the least. You'll have to get a "boomin'" stereo system in it with speakers in the stacks,or the people will never hear ya comin' down the road! The "Electra-B" has been born, good luck with it! Al

  11. Nice truck if you lose the bling (my opinion). A models don't need all that shiny stuff to look good. However, Jim's models have got nice rears, and thats equipment a guy can live with! Al
  12. I remember the radio version of the ad that played on WMAQ-Chicago at the time! Good stuff! Al

That is cool,Mike. As far as value goes, you have a pretty serious project ahead that will take a decent amount of cash. Not running it is pretty much "by-the-pound"(although,not your intentions).Hope you can come to a price you can both live with. Explain to the guy about it possibly being grandpa's old truck.Sometimes that will help in your bargaining. Too bad somebody crunched that rare aluminum fuel tank in. Good luck.Nice find! Al
  14. Obama followers traditionally have had more days off than their counterparts, thus explaining the lack of attendees,in your view. Al
  15. My '90 RD had a bad diaphram in the aneroid valve, that wouldn't let the rack open all the way. No smoke, little power. Not saying thats your problem, but something to check anyway. Al
  16. Welcome. I have only seen thay pump on a few surviving B-53 chassis',that SUPERDOG has had in his posession. Al
  17. Welcome! Good luck on restoring a truck you've had your eyes on for a long time. A labor of love, indeed! Al
  18. Welcome! Good luck on your search for a chassis. Al
  19. WOW! Everything those guys said^! AWESOME! Al
  20. Nothing says "get outta my way",like a DM-800! Nice! Al
  21. Its going to be tough to get the smile off of Grandma's face when she rides in "Gus" again! Al
