  1. Nice truck. Looks kind of like a modern day "Mary Hitchings" truck. Colors look almost the same. Al
  2. Tough one to find,Mackie. You can find all kind of ECONODYNE's (@ big $$$$),but no MAXIDYNE's to speak of.Kind of glad my '88 R-690ST (EM6-300L)is kind of mis-i.d.'d from the factory as an ECONODYNE. Got 3 of them! Al
  3. I don't know Brian,he has over 80 power units on the street! Lose one,got another to replace it! Al
  4. Went to the wake,Trent. Al

  6. Good luck,RR. Al
  7. Arrived Thursday afternoon last year.We did the museum on our own last year,on Fri.before the Sat. rush for the plant/museum tours. Did the show on Fri., and the show /plant tour on Sat.I think our crew was satisfied, they had seen it all. Being your first time out there,it wouldn't hurt to hit the museum on that Wed. or Thurs. And there is no charge, except for the parking just outside the park (@ the show). Bring rain gear (as it has been known to rain a time or two)! Just sayin'. Al
  8. Also the engine mounted intercooler(aka-"Cool Power")was introduced in '73. The CMCAC (chassis mounted çharge air cooled),was introduced around '81. The "tip-turbine" engines hung around a while longer,in vocational trucks. Like Paul & TeamsterGrrrl noted, for the Western Bridge Formula. Al
  9. I lost the original turbo on my EM-6 300L at 502,000 miles.(Lucky me,it grenaded on the exhaust side)Was close to my local dealer when it launched. They had a ReMack in stock.. Put it on in a parking lot. Low and behold,țhe damn thing had a bent shaft right from ReMack! Unfortunatley,,that was the only one the dealer had in stock.Had a buddy lowboy it to his shop. Got another from the Mack Warehouse. Put it on that night, worked the next day. I was fit to be tied that the ReMack was so defective from the get go. I feel your pain,RR! Al
  10. Sorry to hear about your friends wife also Paul. Looks to be a B-53S from here. Pretty solid too. Al
  11. Is that "Mini B",one of George Sprowl's old trucks? Tackaberry has the "daycab" version that George built first. Al
  12. Both very nice,Jim. Love the colors on the R! Al
  13. I like the old emblems, shift knob, etc.,on it. Had that same Mono-Shift knob on my A-51T. Was going to take it off the truck before the auction, but figured I'd just break it. Cool truck,Josh. Al

  16. Love the fact that a "service cab" made it all this time before being used. That is a term that will be forgotton before too long. Great job,by the way! Al
  17. I got this when I cropped your pic,Paul. I was looking at it the same way "dek1581"was. Kinda looks like the modern MACK sctipt? Al
