  9. Whats wrong with the Beverly Hillbillies,Billy? LOL! No,I get it. But if a property owner wants to put up a decent, eye-appealing shed, he should be able to do so,in my book. Al

Sorry to hear that,Bob. Condolences to you and the family. Al
  12. Thanks Swishy for posting those pics of Aussie F interior. Pretty cool. Nice dash layout. Al
  13. Just wished they would have galvanized the F model cabs. There would be a whole lot more of them around for us to tinker with. Always loved the F's (and the A's,B's,R's,RS's,FS's and the RWL's!). Al
  14. Thanks for doing this! And thanks to the Fuzzy Buzzard for starting it! A much needed history account for these fine machines! Al
  15. Tom B. @ The 1987 ATHS Convention,Schaumburg,Ill.
  16. You have no brakes,Larry? Lol....or just no front brakes? Al
  17. Looks like the instruments might need to be recalibrated? Al
  18. I don't remember those outfits,Kevin. It does seem that every town around here had at least 1 ready-mix plant in it,though. Not a lot of competition anymore. Al
  19. Good save and welcome to BMT! Oh and Merry Christmas to you,aĺso! Al
  20. Now THAT is a set of duals! Al
  21. Don't know about your area so much. There are a few guys around this area that have some stuff lying around. We're about 45 minutes south of you on Rte. 14. Al
  22. Cab overs also, have been known to be widowmakers. We don't think about this too often because "hoods" have been the norm for so long. Some old iron enthusiasts, might not have been out of the "Tonka stage" when we had 55-65ft length laws. Please let them know,if you suspect they may not be aware of power of leaky hydraulics. Like Willie said about the .39 cent o-ring,is very true. Al
  23. Intetesting,Tobin. A friend of mine has one just a couple miles from me. His had been a ready-mix truck also,as most were, then he converted it to a tractor around '87. I almost bought one when I started hauling in the '80's,but one of my MACK mentors talked me out of it and told me to look for a newer bulldog. He had loved the B's,but told me it was just too old of a truck to keep running every day. I didn't think so. Still thought it would have been cool showing up at a jobsite with a B-53! Champion Concrete of Iron Mountain,Mi. used theirs until 1987! Tews out of Milwaukee ran a bunch of them also. What part of the Badger state do you hale from? The Southern Wis. Chapter-ATHS is a great bunch of folks to get together with. Always a good time.Their meetings take place all over the state. The Beer City Chapter is also great bunch of old truck lovers. Al
  24. Do you know any of the history on this truck? Sure seemed to be a bunch of those (B-53's) around Wis. & Ill.,back in the day. Cool truck! Good luck with it! Al
  25. The only downfall of the "Scanny" around these parts, was the price and availability of parts. The old 673 had it beat in most departments,as I was told. Never did own one. I do like that truck, though. Al
