  3. Merry Christmas everyone.
  4. When I had rods & mains done on my '90 EM6 (@ N.I. Mack- around 350,000),Mark Steffenhagen told me I had a few bad pushrods and told me about an updated one piece lifter(instead of fused wafer type ) that was available for my engine. I had known several guys that had lost cams so I told him to do all the lifters and pushrods while the truck was in the shop. To date it is over a million and still running strong. Guess I was lucky! Best of luck to you IH Farms. MACK OEM used to be top shelf. But then again,so we're their trucks! Al
  5. Introduced the 300 series in '73-'74.
  6. Looks nice. That power train has been babied if it has always been an R or RD686P. Check cab for bodywork. That would be my only concern with that era of R. Other than that, she looks like a peach. Good luck,Ray! Al
  7. Real Diehl,Ron is right, you have to go there. The show, plant, and the museum are a "must". You better get there next Father's Day weekend or else! Al
  8. Hard to believe that truck started out in life as a plain Jane, spoke wheeled,Dan Lodesky fleet unit. I don't know the year of it,but had heard it was the first 300 in Dan's fleet. Seems to me it was a '74 or '75. It has been updated extensively.
  9. Welcome Marshall. Just jump on in,and hang on! Al
  10. The only ones I am familiar with, used a stamped "speed nut" on the pins. Al
  11. Welcome , Mack-Powered.
  12. Paul,I'm afraid we're all in a similar boat. My collection is nowhere the size of yours, but I am thinking it needs to be thinned out to keep focused on the "doable" stuff. Sad,but true. The Vicky looked like a sweet ride and was damn near done. My K-100 was just as close, but I figured it was at the top of its value in it's present state so I let her go. The other guy is having a blast with it,so I'm good with that. Al
  13. Those R&R trucks are from just up the road near Big Bend,Wis. They also had a nice B-75 tractor.
  14. I hear ya. I should have said,"pictures look nice!" Al
  15. Sorry to hear about Bill's wife. Condolences. Al
  16. Looks nice.
  17. Glad to hear you're doing better , Mike. Was hoping to see you @ I-80,Sunday. Guess Carl & I have to eat your share! Take care & rest up,there are more bulldogs to be rescued! AL
  18. Nice ride! Great job on the "freshening up"! Liked the solid green paint, but the new dress really sets it off.
  19. Good for you,Ed. Al
  20. It IS looking good,Vinny! Al
  21. Nice! Like the "fender guides" also. Must have been an East Coast accessory? I don't remember seeing those around the midwest. Looks straight. Al
  22. Glad to see someone is getting that truck back into shape,Kevin! Al
  23. We are already paying inflated prices on all "cheap labor" illegals, every time they sign up for yet another benefit they didn't have to do anything to earn! You may not pay for it up front, but you're sure as hell paying for it. Al
  24. Nice! Good luck with it! Al
