  1. This was brought up once before. Beside cowl panel work, the radiator has different dimensions, too. Wasn't a big fan of the "facelift" RD. Although, it was still a MACK. Al
  2. Tom, Thanks again for all the pics of your travels. Your "other dog" looks like the one we had when I was a kid! I remember many a winter morning up in the U.P. of Michigan, she had a tough time finding a good spot to do her business! Ha ha! I'd keep a run shoveled off in the back yard, just so she didn't have to freeze her little butt off! Love the photo chopping, also. You crack me up! Al
  3. A Prostar in CAT clothing. If its got a MAXXFARCE under the hood,it's no good! Al
  4. "We're from the government, we're here to help" You can burn an American Flag(don't let ME see you do that),but don't get caught burning your leaves or heating your home with wood-BULLSHIT! Al
  5. Thanks Mike,Jake & Kevin! I'm sure somebody does make an element that would fit. Might have to take one of you guys up on that offer. Would be better to inspect one that's off a truck 1st,for sure! Thanks again. Al
  6. Started out as kind of a long wheelbase single axle Freightshaker daycab with a fifth wheel that slid all the way forward until the lead wagon damned near touched the back of the cab. Can't remember how they actually "fastened" the now straight trucks body(trailer) to the frame, though? Maybe Velcro? It was just being introduced about that time! LOL! Anyway it ended up with a spread tandem on the now "truck". I know I have that issue here somewhere?? HMMMMMMMM????? Al
  7. Mark, I remember that being in OVERDRIVE back in the day. I think Mike Parkhurst call it CF's "Frankentruck" or something like that! LOL! Al
  8. Watt's does sell the dry-type(that looks like an oil bath) for the B. It only has the single outlet on it. I guess if worse comes to worse,I could go with that one,and just forget about the under the hood intake deal. Wouldn't look too bad. Thanks guys. Al
  9. ...........as in "I could tell you,but then I'd have to kill you" type of location,Mike? Al
  10. Guys (& wimmins too!), Did anyone either make a dry type element for this old style air filter,or ever convert their old oil bath R model air cleaner to a dry filter? I would just replace it with a later dry type filter/housing,but do not want to lose the '60's look,if you know what I mean? Any thoughts? Thanks,Al
  11. Got one of those when we were cleaning Grandma's house out, after her passing,Tim. Has a special meaning for me,you know? Thanks for posting it. Al

Clever marketing! Winnebago Liquid Waste (of Oshkosh,Wi.) has "Used Food Hauler" painted on their bug shields! Al
  13. Always a good thing to meet up with fellow BMT'rs! Al
  14. Happy Birthday,Yardo's pop! Cool story too, Randy! Al
  15. By the time the V-L was introduced, the steering wheels were changed to black. Still 3 spoke, but black. I imagine the last few years, they had that 2 spoke wheel on them. Al
  16. Glad you were able to pick the stuff up,Mike. I worked from 5am-7pm yesterday. Good thing you picked it up,though. I would have called and said,"sorry, it just fell off my flatbed"!
  17. .........I myself like her taste in tattered clothing, also! Al
  18. I think the "Fuzzy Buzzard"-of B model registry fame- hails from Galipolis. Somewhere around Ignorant Ridge! LOL! Al
  19. Nice, Mark! Like Sivart says"now bring on the grill weather"!......,ain't that the truth! Al
  20. Sorry to hear of Chris's passing. Prayers go out to the family. Al
  21. Cool (no pun intended) pictures there, bigmacktrucks! Thanks for sharing, also! Al
  22. Boy we can't even get our '90's Oshkosh 6X6 up on the hill, to water for us! That's a fairly new Granite, like you said.........must be nice! The "Out of Service" tag on it could mean several things as they are regularly inspected by MSHA (Mine Safety Health Administration). Could be as simple as a light out that could prompt them to tag it out. Either that or the said driver has not been tasked trained(often done by a dealer rep) on that certain vehicle. Who knows. Al
  23. He did take his hat and jacket off,Ron! Yeah I wonder why he didn't offer it to her, also? LOL! Al
  24. I think it was a little lighter (by how much?). Seems it was popular at the time with freight/tanker haulers. Al
  25. Happy,Happy there GG! Go ahead and let the clutch out!
