  1. Right back @ ya,Bob...........and to the rest of the BMT community out there! Be careful on this "amateur night",if you go out! Al
  2. You've come to the right place! Al
  3. I like the Jakes I had on my '79 & my '90. Like Timmyb says, thats all TecBrake now as they bought Jacobs "vintage" business out. I like the fact that the Jake or Tec Brake is a bolt on deal. The Dynatard used a special cam,if I remember right. True, they don't work the same as on an 855 Cum-a-part,but they will keep you from doing brake jobs so damn often! Al
  4. I think Western Stabile-Aire became Freightliner Air-Liner,Mike. Although the 1st trucks I seen it offered on was the "Petercars" before they developed their Air Leaf. I have a Western Stabile-Air cut off that was on a '76 K-100 parts truck I cut up.It had been grafted on that truck from a Marmon. The rear axle/suspension is going on my Ford C-8000.How's that for an extended life?
  5. Looking good!
  6. I always liked a silver w/black fendered B that sat in an old ARCO station garage when I was a teen. That looked cool to me. Got a pic of that truck, somewhere. Al
  7. Looks great! Like what PeterMack said.......plenty of local shows/meetings to see you/the truck at!
  8. Easier to park than my full-size "models" Mark, and they won't leak fuel, coolant,or oil anywhere! Looks good! Al
  9. ....Sounds like blower seals. Let's see....$1,000.00 for the truck.......$2,500.00 to get it back from the left coast....still,not too bad for this MUTT! Hmmmmmmm???? Al
  10. I see they still have the vents on either side of the grille opening,so the passengers can take full advantage of the aroma just like the operator! Nice! Al
  11. Love those 360's! Like the 361's and the other Brocks too,but the 360's were just too cool! Like the colors, also! Al
  12. Great story,Dan. There's something about a B-model in it's old dress that just looks cool. Good luck with it. Al
  13. Congratulations to you,Mike!
  14. .........like they said.......WOW! Al
  15. Merry Christmas & Happy New Year,fellow BMT'ers! Al
  16. I was told to put a 237 in a B,you had to retain your water pump & harmonic balancer from your/an END673/711. I have a 237/6 speed to install in the chassis I bought from Superdog. You can see it won't fit without doing the harmonic balancer/water pump swap. My 237 has a 3 fan belt set up,where the END673 has a 2 belt set up. My 2 cents.......Al
  17. For some unknown reason,I haven't checked the now 13 deep,U model section on the truckpaper.com.! Nice '85 U-600K(glider kit) in there. Says it has a 283/10spd. Looks like the 300+ copper color and the splitting 10 speed (sorry forgot that #!......slipping! lol).Got the scoop on it for the tip-turbine & everything! Looks straight/clean! Showing 131,000 on the clock! Sorry, don't know how to post the link! Al

    F model

    Nice catch,237!
  19. Also give your local auto/truck glass replacement guys a call. I had bought 1of 3 sets left in factory inventory, of N.O.S Ford C-series (Custom Cab) windshield gaskets from a Ford Truck dealer. Only to find a guy on the Ford Truck Enthusiast website told of himself calling and the local glass guy replaced both windshield and gasket ,which were all in stock! It might be worth checking into
  20. I remember some of those old Werhane trucks sitting at N.I. Mack. Bill Steffenhagen told me they had about a million miles on 'em (without an O.H.),and most guys were too leery to buy them at the time. They did sell them, but it took awhile! Ron(b61),yes they did have at least one Super-Liner. This one is for sale on the TruckPaper site. If it's not a Werhane truck,it's damn close! They mostly had weedburner exhausts on their trucks. This Superdog, had a cobbled together stack on it,which makes me think it was for sure one of theirs.
  21. Got to have the white steering wheel! Looks good! Al
  22. Happy Birthday, Ray! ...............Al
  23. Yo,Jim............
  24. That's for sure,Bigdog!
  25. I would had love to own/drive that one! WTF???
