  1. Mid-Liner hell,thats a High-Liner!
  2. Yep,Mike. You are correct.Looks like the late "Lucky Bob" Amato's old Super-Liner. It sold last year sometime and not to far away from that other Superdog you bought close to my place.
  3. Cool truck,Keith! It would look good at your place!
  4. Young buck, was he? LOL! Nice dash!
  5. You bet, Keith. Why do you think they're so popular with the foreigners? They just flat out WORK! Al
  6. I want to say 1970-71Jim on the 10 speed version anyway. A companion to the ENDT866 375hp.
  7. Seemed to me after the RS/RL 700's were discontinued (retired by the Super-Liner),the R-700's got a "body lift" that made them sit like a RS/RL 700. I don't know?
  8. jakebrake as PeterMack says it's still workin'! It's a B-81 radiator/grill shell,as far as I know. I broke a brass elbow off of a relay valve one time & Mark Steffenhagen came out to bring it to me in that very wrecker. Expecting a pickup, I thought,"what's this gonna cost me?". Mark said,"the only reason I bought the wrecker is,it has all the right tools on it!" He charged me like $25 + the elbow!
  9. Todd's dad owned Northern Illinois Mack so being brought up in that environment allowed him and his brothers to really follow dad's lead as he (Bill,Sr) was an excellent wrench himself. The story I got on the wrecker,is it was Todd's idea and his design. It has a 237(+) under the hood with a quadbox behind it. The butterfly portion of the hood is made out of an R model hood (that part is pretty slick in itself). I need to get over there and take some real detailed pics for you guys. Mark,in the BCR thread that was done a couple of years ago,I had posted a pic of a super rare BCR on a B-70 series chassis from Canada. It sported an R-700 hood! Al
  10. Custom built by Todd Steffenhagen,a fabricating genius not to mention a damn good wrench and tow truck operator!
  11. A couple of Northern Towing's(formally of Northern Illinois Mack) trucks on a job in Iowa, moving an old bridge.Pretty impressive! The first pic is a BCR made from a B-81! The Value-Liner they have owned from new.
  12. This one belongs to Bill Steffenagen, former owner of Northern Illinois . It is a Pinnacle w/a 505hp MP8 and M-drive trans.
  13. Ryan!
  14. Cool truck! Not a bad price either!
  15. I know how you feel,Marcel. Sold my pristine survivor '70 K100 a few weeks back.Really didn't want to do it either, but saw no way I could keep it with all the other projects I have in the works. Mine too went to someone who will finish the job right and really likes the old trucks. Fine with me. Al
  16. That roolback is sure getting a workout,Mike! I like the little CAT!
  17. ........Yeah,"Starkish" sounds like a tuna brand, now that I've said it a couple of times! Sorry Charlie,uh I mean Brad!
  18. The cast radiator/butterfly hood, looks like one off a Canadian KW.Fenders & headlights look Petercar to me.Shutters look kinda "Starkish" LOL!
  19. Congrats,Mike!
  20. Thanks much,Fred! Asked if anyone hade ever seen that video, on BMT a couple of years ago. Never got any response. I was at a truck show in Milwaukee (Wis) in the early '90's,and this video was playing at Milwaukee Mack's display. Asked if I could get a copy of it, but the salesman said they only had that one, and by the way,"would you like to buy a new MACK?" I told him," no thanks, already got one!". Al
  21. Hearing' ya on the time/money factor,Matt! I think a lot of us suffer from that! Nice truck,Nick. A buddy has a '52 that I have first dibs on when he goes to sell it. Has a Buick Nailhead in it now that will be removed & sold to a Buick nut. Thinking a turboed 4bt Cummins might go good on the engine bay.
  22. Happy 33rd,refusegetter!
  23. Lookin' good,Vinny! Summers just don't last long enough,do they? Same for us big kids too! You already have a big jump on the rest of us,Vin. Most of us were at least double your age when we started our projects! Hats off to you & Papa!
  24. THAT does sound good!
