  1. Yardo, I have an early OWNER OPERATOR mag featuring Harry on a "roundtable" discussion board. Pretty interesting, as he was an O/O at the time, himself.
  2. Great pics again, Tom. Can't wait for this feature every week! Al
  3. Thanks for sharing the pics,Mike! Al
  4. It's called driving in an area that was filled before winter, then "slicked off" with a D-8/drag beam. Now add a boat load of snow that can't drain off while melting and you get a MINEFIELD! We were spreading topsoil on it so the farmer can plant it. He has a red tractor,so he might have better luck than me! Al
  5. All outa likes,Gearhead..........but I LIKES IT!
  6. I have a buddy that recently took on the PAI line at his parts house because of the demand and lack of VOLVO's enthusiasm for the ! My BCR has several PAI parts on it.Had to return some stuff, but they made good on it all.
  7. Ya just can't hide in a fishbowl! Breaks are at 10am & 2pm 15 minutes a piece during the 12 hour shift. Good thing you didn't go by Friday, you might have seen this......OOPS! (yes that too was me)
  8. Cool!
  9. Yep.Thats exactly what it was,Trent. Used to be a popular modification around here. Neri Excavating even mounted one of those grilles upside down on an old R 400 six wheeler.
  10. Cool convoy!
  11. Didn't know I had relatives in Bedford??? Cool pics,Tom!
  12. Generac has a plant outside of Milwaukee,Wis. where they build at least some of their products.
  13. Even the worst I ever had, was still pretty good...........hick-up! I'm not big fan of the fruit-in-beer thing myself, but if it works for you Rowdy,so be it! Enjoy!
  14. Sompel Excavating was the outfit.Nice older guy that always took care of his trucks & machines.
  15. Thats too bad,ECD. I had some frame rail & crossmembers swiped from under a storage trailer. Nowhere near the value of your stuff, but I kept it around for "future use". Now I'll have to buy the stuff when I need it. Hope someone had a good time on the $35 of scrap they got from me.
  16. Good luck with the new pup,Mark! Al
  17. Yep, Charlie Daniels at 77 years old young, still out there gettin' 'er done!.........
  18. .......I'll give you one more vintage photo clue, but don't look at the name on the bass drum............
  19. How 'bout this guy? (wearing glasses)......................
  20. Always a good thing when you can find FACTORY (or manufacturers) manuals on what you have!
  21. Thank you for your service,Joe D. I thought the way you guys got treated was a damn shame! I was just a kid (born in '61) during that war,and couldn't understand why people were being so hateful to our servicemen. It did not happen in our house (having a Vet for a Dad). I am glad the public has a different view on returning war Vets now.ABOUT DAMN TIME!! I agree with the taking care of the Vets and their families,it should be a PRIORITY!
  22. Glad you asked.Vinny! F.J.A. Christensen is an old roofing outfit from Milwaukee,Wi., that prides themselves in having sharp equipment. Jim Adams snapped this one and another DM rolloff, prolly in the '90's sometime (which I'lll post at another time). They have a FULL-TIME in house body shop that will also keep your equipment looking as good as theirs!
