  1. That dry air cleaner has a Donaldson Pre-Cleaner on it and he reinforced it with a couple of mirror brackets. It was custom, for sure. I didn't remember this, but he actually had to modify the fender to make the air cleaner serviceable. This picture was taken before its maiden voyage, after a toal rebuild in 1971! The stack was available as of 2005 anyway (special order from Riker). His son Dave, got me one for the B C R,Matt.
  2. How about this one, momack? This one belonged to my first boss,Rick Leach. The floaters DO look cool on a B!
  3. That tank was also used on RD's too,Mike.
  4. I'd be interested in the Jake Brake, countryboy.PM me.
  5. Looks great,Marcel! Al
  6. Extra sharp!!! NICE!!!
  7. Brocky, yes CF did have a tank division...............at least in the '60's they did.
  8. Those air ride crackerboxes had a boxed section frame with a big X in the middle which doubled as an air reservoir. Interesting design.........not a good one,but still interesting!
  9. Very cool LT. A buddy of mine has a '58 Pete 281, that has similar tach set up. The numbers are in hundreds and with the tach (rotates counter-clockwise) sitting to the left of the speedo(which rotates clockwise),both needles go up at the same time while pointing at each other.Kinda cool.
  10. Nice,Ron! .....................Even without the horseshoe!
  11. That's cool,Mike. Isn't it funny the way some (most) of the old stuff can be started after sitting for awhile? No laptop needed!
  12. RADIALS...........we wouldn't STEER you wrong!
  13. Yep gearhead, big fan of the 3/8 rail myself!
  14. Me too,Matt! I like it,but want to get a 1st Gear R and a single axle B to build a 1/34th scale B C R. Al
  15. Was looking for some R model related parts on ebay the other day when this pops up........I start thinking,"where have I seen that truck before?" Guess First Gear just introduced it in 1/64th scale. The royalties should be in my mailbox any minute now!
  16. And best of all.....no DOUBLES ENDORSEMENT NEEDED,gearhead204! I'm not one for more regulations, but some of these motorhomes are a little big for their drivers (if you know what I mean). I think there should be an RV classification on your drivers license (CDL holders exempt), also. Most of these people have no concept of air brake operation, backing, passing, etc. Sorry,my .02! Al
  17. Thanks,Mike for posting those for mackey.
  18. O.D., I have a Hula-Popper in my tackle box also. Works really well at dusk for largemouth along a shoreline......wait a minute,is this the Fishing Channel or what? LOL!!
  19. Have a good time,Bob! Enjoy life! Al
  20. Just think of the many companies we've seen over the years vanish, not to mention the "Special Commodities Divisions" ! We could start a whole new thread with them! Al
  21. Snapped a few pictures of Kenny Fiantago's RD today after a little touchup & mechanical upgrades this past winter!
  22. I have had good results with sandblasting the cracks (the wheel has a steel core) and using a plastic bumper filler after I have V'd out the cracks. You can then prime & repaint.
  23. Bob,first of all I am sorry for you losing a fellow trucker,a brother,in yet another misreported crash. You were the first person I thought about when hearing of the FedEx truck in California,as I know you spend a lot of time in that state. Although I was much relieved it was not you in that FedEx truck, I pray for the family of the fallen driver. The general public will never understand the job of the people who bring there very life to them each day,and what it means to that individual. The medias crap is nothing new,as it bounces off most of us (although we are pissed about it). We know the real deal about the countless numbers of drivers who have ditched it or died, saving another motorists life. However, these are never reported. Al
  24. Sounds about right Trent (the tens years ago part). Many O/O's were there for years. They were treated right by the "old man" and had no reason to leave. Unfortunately, that all changed when Mr. McPike was no longer the owner.
  25. Can't have too many G models,Mike!
